I so did not know they were making a Dracula and Sleepy Hollow series for television. These look just too good not to show off. What do you think?
Dracula
Series introduces Dracula as he arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier. There’s only one circumstance that can potentially thwart his plan: Dracula falls hopelessly in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.
Stars: Ben Miles (Browning), Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Dracula/Alexander Grayson), Nonso Anozie (R.M Renfield), Miklós Bányai (Szabó), Jessica De Gouw (Mina Murray), Oliver Jackson-Cohen (Jonathan Harker), Thomas Kretschmann (Abraham Van Helsing), and Katie McGrath (Lucy Westenra)
Airs: Fridays this fall on NBC
Sleepy Hollow
In this modern-day retelling of Washington Irving’s classic, ICHABOD CRANE is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to find that the world is on the brink of destruction and that he is humanity’s last hope, forcing him to team up with a contemporary police officer to unravel a mystery that dates back to the founding fathers.
Stars: Tom Mison (Ichabod Crane), Orlando Jones (Lieutenant Frank Williams), Nicole Beharie (Abbie Archer), Richard Cetrone (Headless Horseman), John Cho (Andy Dunn)
Airs: this fall on Fox
Almost Human
ALMOST HUMAN is a high-tech, high-stakes action drama set 35 years in the future, when police officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids. An unlikely partnership is forged when a part-machine cop (Urban) is forced to pair with a part-human robot (Ealy) as they fight crime and investigate a deeper cover-up in a futuristic new world.
Stars: Karl Urban (John Kennex), Michael Ealy (Dorian), and Lili Taylor (Maldonado)
Airs: this fall on Fox
I saw Dracula and that one looks do-able (okay, Meyers is soooooo do-able!). I hadn’t heard of Sleepyhollow but, huh? Really?? I’ll wait on that one.
And all you had to say was “Karl Urban” and I’m completely sold on Almost Urban, err, I mean Almost Human. Am I shallow? You betcha!! If I’m not reading and watching tv, I want eye-candy!!!
