C.H. AdmirandI am excited to welcome author C.H. Admirand, who is celebrating the release of her second Small Town USA novel, One Day in Apple Grove.

Welcome to Apple Grove, Ohio (pop. 597), a small town with a big heart.

Caitlin Mulcahy loves her family. She really does. But sometimes they can drive her to her last shred of sanity—from her dad (“I’m not meddling, I just want what’s best for you”) to her eight-months-pregnant older sister to her younger sister, who will do just about anything to avoid real work. Cait just needs to get away, even if for only an hour.

When she sees someone in need of help on the side of the road, of course she’s going to pull over. She might even be able to fix his engine—after all, the Mulcahy family is a handy bunch. She’s not expecting that former Navy medic Jack Gannon and a little black puppy named Jameson will be the ones who end up rescuing in her.

Make sure you stick around to the end. We’ll be giving away a signed copy of One Day in Apple Grove.

Witches Rule! Demons Drool!

Thanks for inviting me to blog today, Jackie. It’s a pleasure to be back at Literary Escapism. I’m giving away a signed copy of book 2 in my contemporary small town series, One Day in Apple Grove, so watch for the question at the end. ?

I’m getting ready to go to BEA (Book Expo America) in NYC tomorrow to sign at the RWA Booth. It’s the second time I’ve had the pleasure of doing so and I’m really looking forward to it—well except for the fact that it will be about 90+ degrees. Normally, I like to take the ferry, but the last time I did, it was really hot and well once you add in the hot breeze off the water, there goes any time spent on hair and makeup. And trust me…at my age…it’s important not to leave the house without them. There are a few other items that are “have-tos” but I’ll save them for another time. So I may be taking the train and a taxi so that I don’t melt on the way over. LOL!

But now that I think about it, I will need to get used to the heat, because I’m driving to RWA in Atlanta in July and AAD (Authors After Dark) in Savannah in August. Crazy time of year for either location. Isn’t it?

Today was a great day because I got to dabble on ancestry.com again and upload pictures from our mantelpiece of my ancestors on both sides. I have pics of great, grandparents and great, great, grandparents up there. My mom gave them to me for safe keeping. It’s comforting to see them up there smiling down at us.

But it was also a great day because the UPS guy brought not one—but two packages today. The first package had author copies of One Day in Apple Grove, and the second had the print proof for the second book in my Irish Western Series, The Rancher’s Heart!

I’m re-releasing the series now that I have the rights back. So for the first time ever, readers can download either The Marshal’s Destiny or The Rancher’s Heart to their e-readers—or buy the paperback version—the original series was released in the Library Market and in hardcover. My how things are constantly changing in this industry.

What is your favorite way to read? Hardcover, paperback, or e-reader? And do you prefer short stories, novellas, or novels? Me I’m still getting the hang of what to do with my bookmark when I’m using my new e-reader…yeah it was one of those moments where I just stared at my bookmark and e-reader and could not figure out what to do. So found the way to bookmark the e-page, powered down, and laid my bookmark on top of my e-reader. It’s that old dog and new tricks philosophy. LOL!

Happy reading!

C.H.

Meet C.H. Admirand!

C.H. Admirand has always had her nose in a book, has traveled the world over, and even tested the time-space continuum, thanks to the awesome power of the written word. One of her writing quirks is that she loves to include bits and pieces of her ancestors and ancestry in all of her books. Her second series with Sourcebooks, Small Town USA begins with A Wedding in Apple Grove. With 8 short stories and 14 novels to her credit, this award-winning, multi-published author’s books are available in paperback, hardcover, trade paperback, magazine, e-book, and coming soon…digital comic format!

Contest Time!

Thank you C.H. Admirand for taking the time to stop by Literary Escapism!

C.H. Admirand is giving away a signed copy of One Day in Apple Grove. To enter, all you have to do is answer this one question: What is your favorite way to read? Hardcover, paperback, or e-reader? And do you prefer short stories, novellas, or novels? Remember, you must answer the question in order to be entered.

Even though I’m not giving the additional entries any more, you can still help support the author by sharing their article, and this contest, on your blog, Twitter, Facebook, or anywhere you can. After all, the more people who are aware of this fabulous author ensures we get more fabulous stories.

The winner must post a review of the novel someplace. Whether it is on their own blog, Amazon, GoodReads, LibraryThing or wherever, it doesn’t matter. Just help get the word out.

The contest will stay open until June 30th at which time I’ll determine the winner with help from this snazzy plug-in that I have.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. Congrats to CH on the new releases :) My preference is still paperbacks but I’ve noticed that about 50% of what I read now is on the kindle. I’ll still read hardcovers but they aren’t my fav… b/c of price or size. And for the length of story, it definitely depends on my mood! Or if I’ve got time to invest in a full novel or just want to kill a bit of time and want a novella.

  2. I LIKE PAPERBACKS AND EBOOKS! I BUY HARDBACKS IF I GET A GOOD PRICE! TRY NOT TO BUY TOO MANY OF THOSE BECAUSE OFTHE WEIGHT IF YOU EVER HAVE TO MOVE! I LIKE NOVELS .THANKS FOR THE GIVEAWAY! calicolady60@hotmail.com
