Mainly Interviews & Contests Today

I keep seeing these Rogue Angel, Alex Archer novels at the store, but I haven’t heard much about them. As always, I just need to go to SciFiGuy and he has the goods.  I found the cover for the next Alex Archer novel, The Spirit Banner, at his site and actually found what the novels are about as well.  Something tells me, if you’re a fan of Indiana Jones, you’ll like this series.

Interviews:

SciFiGuy has the cover art and the blurb for a new anthology called The New Dead.  It’s another great collection of horror authors, however I only recognize Kelley Armstrong, Joe Hill and Mike Carey from the list of contributors, and it’s set to release sometime in February 2010.

If you’re a Twilighter, make sure you go over to Babbling About Books.  She has sneak peaks for New Moon.  Trust me, go over now.  :)

Contests:

I’m all about helping to promote new authors and since today seems to be a slow news day for me (and on a day where I have tons of time to slosh through it all), here’s a peak into Joss’ debut novel: Beyond the Night, which has a release date of January 2010.

A man with no future…
When Dr. Elliott Drake wakes from a mysterious fifty-year sleep, the world as he knew it is gone. Cities are now desolate, and civilization is controlled by deadly immortals. Stranger still is Elliott’s extraordinary new “gift” – he has the power to heal, but it comes with fatal consequences.

A woman with a past
Jade barely escaped the immortals and is now hell-bent on revenge. She trusts no one… until Elliott. His piercing gaze and tempting touch shatter her defenses, but the handsome doctor seems to have dangerous secrets of his own. Is it safe to trust him with her heart?

If they are to survive in this dark new world, Jade and Elliott must work together to fight the forces that takes them beyond danger.

Beyond desire.
Beyond the night.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
