Visions of Fire and Ice Celebration

TDAmario-Visions of Fire and IceToday Teresa D’Amario is celebrating the release of her new series, Visions of Fire and Ice – an exciting new tale about an ancient race of aliens, Egyptian mythology, and true love – with a fantastic giveaway.

Trapped on a planet not their own, the Petiri spend their lives hiding the natural gifts that set them apart from the world. They live long and unfulfilled lives, unable to find their soul mates on this backward planet known as Earth. That is until the night Ramose comes face to face with Tamara, a woman whose gifts rival his own. Determined to find why this human is in possession of an ancient magical Petiri relic, he arranges a meeting.

But Tamara, embittered from past events, is wary despite lifelong dreams of Ramose and a sure knowledge he is her soul mate. Before long the couple find themselves ensnared in a battle that has raged for millennia in Egypt’s desert. Set, Egyptian God of Chaos, is determined to take his just due: the throne of Osiris.

The only way to stop him is for Ramose to put his trust in Tamara, but, first, he must gain the same from her. The ensuing sensual relationship is filled with romance, lust and love. Their relationship is tested by an unnatural evil. Will her powers over fire, combined with his ice be enough to win the day? Or will the ancient gods and goddesses of Egypt destroy more than just their love?

Meet Teresa D’Amario!

Born in Atlanta, the daughter of an Army Soldier during the early stages of the Viet Nam war, Teresa spent her childhood traveling from state to state, finally ending up overseas in Germany where she graduated high school six months early.

Her writing career, however, began as a young Airman in the Air Force, writing monthly articles for the weekly base paper. The articles ranged from climatological data to full center fold articles on the destructive forces of hurricanes. As she increased in rank, her writing changed to more technological instruction, including such works as WSR-88D Doppler Radar Data Interpretation Guide for North Carolina Stations, and Station Operating Procedures.

But her early writing wasn’t limited only to the technological side. She’s written multiple dog training and behavior articles for canine websites such as Sonora Canine Freestyle, and also the Ask Blackjack column, a fun training column in the voice of my labrador retriever, then a young pup.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

    • I used to tell people I was born in the wrong time, because I was FASCINATED with the 1800’s as a kid, and always wished I could dress the way the ladies of the time did. Now, I’m too practical to want all those skirts all the time, but then, LOVED them!

  1. well…. I like modern conveniences so I don’t think that I would go back tooo far… maybe like a week or two and then buy a lottery ticket since I’d already know the numbers :) Cheating I know! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  2. I’m not sure if going back in time would be safe at all but I’d love to visit Victorian England, Ancient Rome and the time of Vikings. So many great things in history I’d live to witness. Plus find me a sexy Scottish or English Lord. :)

  3. If I could go back in time, how far would I go? For the most part I’m happy with the way my life has gone but for one exception the hubs and I could not have children. Based on that fact alone I would go back to the time when I first started working and would save for my future instead of thinking nothing would occur that would take my earning ability away. Then I would have a nest egg that would have allowed the hubs and I to adopt child(ren) instead of having this emptiness inside because I failed to produce.

  4. I’m not sure, but I would stay well after man, because I wouldn’t want to take on dinosaurs and sabar tooth tigers. In fact, I would probably pick time that least had some semblance of civilization, I don’t know if I would get along with cavemen, either. Thanks for sharing the great book and the awesome giveaway. evamillien at gmail dot com

  5. Awesome book and giveaway. Thanks for sharing them. Going back in time is a scary proposition. I would stay at least a couple hundred years after civilizations. evamillien at gmail dot com

  6. Very hard question. It would be dangerous to try to blend in with a past society that is foreign to you. Even going from 2013 to for example 1920, could get you in trouble. For example, a woman who shows too much skin (ankles and elbows oh my!) could get you thrown in jail for obscenity. I have always wanted to visit Paris in the early 20th Century. All the art, poetry, general creativity…..that’s definatly on my list. But i would also love to see Ming dynasty China, ancient Egypt and Rome. Western expansion into the West to see the buffalo and Native American tribes. How about the Inca’s in Peru. Or Reninance Europe……….with any of these you would have to do so much research on culture, polotics, dress, land, gender rolls, etc. Otherwise you would stand out and put yourself in danger……….but it would be totally worth it.

  7. Wow, this is weird, I’ve refreshed this 100 times, and for the first time I now see the comments. Oh well. Sorry ladies! I do appreciate you dropping by! Robbibird3, as usuall you manage to touch my heart. I kind of agree with you on that. Same thing here. Steph, that’s me too, just go back to visit! Erin, yes, lottery tickets are pretty darned awesome, eh? :) That’s pretty awesome too. Una when I was a kid,I used to tell everyone I was born in the wrong time for that very reason. :D

  8. I would go back around 1900. but if you ask me any time is bad is some way especially for women. I know that I what running water for bathing, cook, cleaning, ETC.

  9. Eeeeks, safe being the operative word! As much as I love the time of William the Conqueror, I don’t think I would fit in at all. I would just go back to my teen years and give myself a good talking to.

  10. Such awesome places to go. And Thanks so much for visiting, ladies! I used to think I’d want to go back to the 1800’s, because I loved their clothing when I was a kid. But now, I’m not so sure. If I could go back just to visit, I’d probably spend more time in history than in present day, and yes, that would be really dangerous.
