What would you grab?

So I had a weird dream last night. I was in the middle of a hurricane and I was running to get underground and I could take one bag with me and I wanted to include a couple of books with me. Don’t ask me why I was going underground or whatever, it was a dream after all, but it got me to thinking what I would grab off of my shelves if I had to.

So in my dreams, I grabbed the following: Jeaniene Frost, Karen Chance, and Patricia Briggs. I grabbed all of the books in their series, so I was running with about 9 books to take with me.

This got me to wondering, what would you grab off of your shelves if you had to. The books have to be from your own shelves as of now. :)

Edited to add: Although, while reading through my paranormal group, I was reminded that Hurricane Gustav is headed straight for Louisiana again.  Since we moved to the house, I haven’t had as much of a chance to watch TV, so I only keep hearing snippets about the upcoming hurricane.  Maybe this is where my dream came from last night.  I would hate to be in the path of a hurricane. I feel for everyone who is
going through it right now even knowing I have no clue what the reality is.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. I think I would grab the classics. You know, whenever we go through a book purge and give stuff away or donate it, I always keep my collection of the classics.

  2. I would probably grab the first 5 or 6 books off my tbr stack, while screaming at hubby to save my Laurell K Hamiltons and Kim Harrisons. :)
