Check out what I spotted over at Authors After Dark. Half Past Dead is an anthology containing two stories – a military paranormal called Simon Says by Bianca D’Arc and an historical paranormal by Zoe Archer. Both of these authors are new to me, but I’m liking this cover so I may have to use this as my foray into their worlds. Half Past Dead has a December 29, 2009 release date.

Lilith Saintcrow just announced that she’s working on a Jill Kismet short story, tentatively titled Holding The Line, for an upcoming anthology edited by Justin Gustainis. Once I figure out the title of the anthology, I’ll let you know.
Marjorie Liu announced that she’s participating in a new anthology that will be released in 2010 and edited by Lou Anders. At the moment, it’s called With Great Power, but we all know how titles change. Either way, the anthology will be a collection of “Superhero Prose Tales” published by Pocket books. For more information and a list of contributing authors, check out the post on Lou Ander’s blog.
It’s interesting what tidbit you’ll find in the comments section of blog post. While perusing the comments for Bitten by Books latest poll (Funniest Paranormal Author – has to be Katie MacAlister, I love Jim the dog!), I came across the title of a new novel by Dakota Cassidy. She’s currently working on Suck It Up, Princess which will be out sometime in the Fall of 2010.

That’s it until Wednesday for sure. I’m heading to Ann Arbor in the morning to drop the kid off with the in-laws. I will then be sitting in a Borders for the entire day, patiently waiting and reading, for the Kenyon signing that night. So if anyone is going to the Lohr St. Borders in Ann Arbor for the Kenyon signing, I’ll be sitting in one of hte plush chairs reading Spider-Touched by Jory Strong or probably Bad Moon Rising.
Bianca D’Arc’s name comes up a lot on the Coming Soon page at Samhain – they’ve published a lot of her work. I think then she got an agent and sold to Kensington Brava, but no doubt there’ll be more Samhain publications ahead :-)
And great to see that you’ll be hosting dear Erica Hayes in October :-) I’m probably biased, because Shadowfae is set in my Melbourne, but I did rather enjoy it ;-)
P.S. I emailed you a thank-you note today – Prey arrived safe and sound :-)
