A Shiver of Outlandish News

LKHamilton-A Shiver of LightThree unscheduled snow days threw my entire week into chaos and I’m still trying to get back on any semblance of a schedule, but since I had all this sitting in my drafts folder, I thought I would get it up. It’s not much, and it’s probably a little old for some, but here’s some news I’ve found recently.

There are always fabulous covers popping up and I simply can’t post them all, so here’s a select few that have caught my eye. To see them all, head over to facebook, where I’ve added them to the January album for your viewing pleasure. Don’t forget to check out us out on Facebook where I’m always posting random book news, fun pics and a lot more fabulous covers. Here’s a few albums that might catch your interest: 2014: Graphic NovelsStarz OUTLANDERNew Covers in December 2013, and New Covers in November 2013.

NSingh-Shield of WinterNalini Singh has posted the blurb for the 13th Psy-Changeling novel, Shield of Winter, which will be released in June 2014.

Assassin. Soldier. Arrow. That is who Vasic is, who he will always be. His soul drenched in blood, his conscience heavy with the weight of all he’s done, he exists in the shadows, far from the hope his people can almost touch—if only they do not first drown in the murderous insanity of a lethal contagion. To stop the wave of death, Vasic must complete the simplest and most difficult mission of his life.

For if the Psy race is to survive, the empaths must wake…

Having rebuilt her life after medical “treatment” that violated her mind and sought to stifle her abilities, Ivy should have run from the black-clad Arrow with eyes of winter frost. But Ivy Jane has never done what she should. Now, she’ll fight for her people, and for this Arrow who stands as her living shield, yet believes he is beyond redemption. But as the world turns to screaming crimson, even Ivy’s fierce will may not be enough to save Vasic from the cold darkness…

Sylvia Day will be doing a live Q&A via Spreecast on Wednesday, January 15th at 8pm EST. I’m not familiar with Spreecast, so if you’re going to join in the conversation, I would make sure to check it out prior to the 15th. If anyone is familiar with it, I would love to hear what you thought.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
