Black Friday: Arran’s Shopping List by Jessica Lee

Black Friday 2013Black Friday is here and we’re discussing the season with Jessica Lee’s Arran from Undying Embrace.

Arran MacLain is a vampire on a suicide mission, driven to kill his former partner who betrayed him and the Enclave they served. But two things stand in his way: Gabrielle, the human female who holds his heart, and the past that won’t let him go. If only death was enough to cleanse his soul.

Gabrielle Steven’s sister is missing. Her hunt for clues brings her face to face with the one vampire she can’t forget. Their missions combine and thrust them into the heart of evil. Will their passion be enough to overcome the pain from their past, or will their dark desires destroy them both?

Make sure you stick around to the end. We’ll be giving away an ecopy of her first Enclave novel, Undying Destiny.

Arran’s Shopping List

JLee-Undying EmbraceThank you so much, Literary Escapism for having me here today. I’ve been asked what would happen if Arran MacLain from my recent release from Entangled Publishing, Undying Destiny, ventured out into the malls and department stores to do his holiday shopping during this chaotic time of year.

Great question, especially for Arran who is a warrior vampire with the Enclave and is truly not a people person. I can honestly say that unless the Enclave mansion lost its internet access during the entire month of December, this male would never venture into the malls. He barely tolerates the crowds of humans who happen to be out when he patrols for the DEADs (Death Euphoria addicted vampires) who prey on them. His patience for dealing with the overcrowded department stores would be stretched far too thin and the risk of bodily harm to others would be too great.

Arran MacLain would avoid the busy shopping centers at all cost, choosing rather to slip into small boutiques after sundown. But if by chance what he wanted to purchase for his mate or his fellow warriors couldn’t be found there, Arran would be on his PC or tablet searching for just the right gift.

His shopping list would probably look like this:

Gabrielle Stevens (the Enclave’s IT expert and his mate): that iPad Air she’s been talking about. But he’d also include a little something for him and her. She’d find the gift box tucked away beneath the small decorated tree in their suite on Christmas Eve night. (A red and black silk bra and panty set. For his eyes only)

Kenric St. James (the Enclave’s master vampire): What to give the male who has everything. Especially now since he’d found the love of his life…? The vampire rarely eats human food, but his mate, Emily Ross, still enjoys the activity. So for them, a night off duty along with dinner for two at Emily’s favorite Italian restaurant. If anyone deserved an evening out with his mate, it was Kenric.

Guerin Lombardi (the Enclave’s second in command) A custom blade for his collection engraved with the male’s initials.

Michael (the Enclave’s mansion human assistant) Martha Stewart’s latest cookbook: Martha Stewart’s Cooking School. Perfect. He’s going to love it. (Yeah. That was sarcasm)

Markus (Arran’s former partner) He gets to live another day. Maybe. If he keeps his mouth shut.

Wishing you all the happiest of holidays!

Meet Jessica Lee!

I’ve always loved to read but had never read a paranormal romance. Then one night at work on break, I began reading Karen Marie Moning’s Spell of the Highlander. I couldn’t believe what I’d been missing, and I immediately fell in love with the genre. I wanted to write like that. I wanted to create worlds where others could find the same escape and fascination I did when I read my first sensual paranormal romance. And I hope that’s what I’ve accomplished in my work. Please dive in, hold on tight, and enjoy the adventure. Just be careful in the darkyou might find more than you expected waiting for you there.

Jessica Lee lives in the southeastern United States with her husband and son. She loves writing and can’t wait for that quiet time each day when her son is in school, and she can get lost in another place and world with the fantastical, sexy creatures in her head.

  1. hilariou!! think there would be a few humans less to deal with if he managed to make it to a shopping mall…probably for the best if he sticks to internet shopping ;)
