There are always fabulous covers popping up and I simply can’t post them all, so here’s a select few that have caught my eye. To see them all, head over to facebook, where I’ve added them to the January album for your viewing pleasure. Also, here’s two albums that might catch your interest: 2014: Graphic Novels and Starz OUTLANDER.
Since we’re on the topic of covers, it’s the beginning of a new year, so I’m going to start doing something a little different with cover reveals. I love looking at all the fantastic covers and showing them off, but there are a bunch of other sites who already do a fabulous job of that, and I’ve begun to wonder why I duplicate that effort. So I will still be adding covers to the Facebook albums, but I probably won’t be adding as many as I did in the past. Some of those albums have over 100 covers. But I don’t want everyone to miss out on all the other fabulous covers, that while may not catch my eye, may catch yours. So here’s a few links to some pretty awesome covers: Wicked Scribes (Jan 9th, Jan 12th, ), All Things Urban Fantasy, Amy K, Addicted to Heroines, Tez Says (Jan 8th, Jan 10th), and Lurv a la Mode.
If you’re itching for tonight’s premier of Bitten, the television series adapted from Kelley Armstrong’s Woman of the Otherworld series, and don’t mind a little knowledge before hand, then head over to IGN where they have a review of the first episode, Summons. Fair warning though, they’re not exactly thrilled, but they also start it off by comparing it to Twilight. I definitely have mix feelings. It has NOTHING in common with Twilight, so why they even thought to compare the two is beyond me. It makes me wonder if they had twilightesque expectations and when it didn’t meet them, they automatically wrote it off. As a fan of the series, and Elena and Clay specifically, I’m curious if they’ve read the books or if the show is their first experience with Armstrong’s fantastic story.
Speaking of fabulously new television shows, while Starz has not premiered Outlander yet, it is already thinking about a second season, which seems very possible. In a discussion with Deadline, Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said “I would be shocked if we didn’t do the second book.” This makes me extremely happy. *grin* More importantly, has everyone seen the first trailer? It was revealed at this past weekends Outlander Invades LA event (aka the Fan Gathering). And if you haven’t read Outlander yet, now would be the perfect time to do so. The ebook is currently priced at $1.99.
