Look Who’s Going to RT: Jenna Bennett

Jenna Bennett

Jenna BennettCan you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
I write the Do It Yourself home renovation mysteries for Berkley Prime Crime, and the Cutthroat Business mysteries for my own gratification. I also write a variety of romance for a change of pace. Among those romances is the PNR Tall, Dark and Divine and the SFR Fortune’s Hero.

I can be found at: website | Facebook | Twitter | GoodReads

Can you introduce us to the world(s) that you have created?
I write mysteries set in several different real locations, including Nashville, Tennessee. I also write about a small, fictional town called Sweetwater an hour south of Nashville, and a different small, fictional town called Waterfield on the coast of Maine. The PNR (Tall, Dark and Divine) is set in the real neighborhood of Astoria in Queens, one of the boroughs of NYC, but the Greek gods and goddesses don’t live there IRL. And the SFR (Fortune’s Hero) is set on a small moon called Marica-3, off a small planet called Marica, on the other edge of the galaxy. Some of the other planets in that universe are called Krai, Sumatra, Fontaine, and Avaris, along with good old Old Earth.

Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
RT virgin. :)

Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to or are planning on attending?
I’ll be taking part in the Intergalactic Bar and Grille party on Wednesday afternoon, as well as a SFR panel – Not Your Mother’s SF – on Friday morning. On Thursday, I’m hosting the Sex on the Beach reader event with Jennifer Probst and Jen McLaughlin (promoting our NA romance trilogy by the same name), and on Thursday night, the other MMM Authors and I are part of sponsoring the Pub Crawl. It all sounds like great fun, and I’m planning to enjoy each and every event.

Is there anything in particular you’re looking forward to or experiencing while in New Orleans?
It’ll be nice to look around, but mostly I’m just looking forward to hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones.

If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
The loud one with the funny accent?

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
