Can you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
I’m Amanda Bonilla. I’m the author of the Shaede Assassin series and the Sentry of Evil series. I also write contemporary romance and romantic suspense under the name Mandy Baxter.
Can you introduce us to the world(s) that you have created?
In my Shaede Assassin series (Shaedes of Gray), Darian is a Shaede and can become a shadow after the sun sets. She spends her free time taking out supernatural baddies while trying to balance her complicated love life. The series takes place in Seattle and features a cast of supernatural creatures that range from Fae, to Sylphs, shifters, and Jinn.
In the Sentry of Evil series (Haunted), Jax is a Waerd, a demon hunter raised from birth to hunt and destroy evil supernatural forces. She’s paired with a Bearer, an empath who helps to track her prey as well as bear the emotional burden of her duties. The series takes place in the small town of McCall, Idaho and showcases balancing the dynamic of small time life with Jax’s secret duties as a destroyer of evil.
My Mandy Baxter books kick off in September with One Night More, the first book in the US Marshals series. These books are hard-core romantic suspense that takes place in different locations all over the Pacific Northwest. They feature feisty heroines and alpha-male heroes. The stories are super sexy and full of action. In November, I’ll be debuting a novella series, Billionaires Club: Texas. These stories are super sexy and super fun! The first story in the series is The Billionaire Cowboy. Yeehaw! ;)
Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
This is my first RT and I’m super excited! I can’t wait to meet readers and authors alike. If anyone wants to give me some con advice, I’m all ears! J
Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to or are planning on attending?
I’m not speaking at any panels this year, but I’ll be attending as many as I can. The more I can learn, the better. I’m always interested in hearing about other authors’ experiences and veteran advice is so appreciated!
Is there anything in particular you’re looking forward to or experiencing while in New Orleans?
I’ve never been to NOLA, and I’m so excited to see the city. I’ve been told that the food is to die for so I’m looking forward to eating. A lot.
If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
If you want to hook up with me at RT, you’ll more than likely find me with Chelsea from Vampire Book Club. I’ll be the short blonde with the a-line bob. In fact, I’ll probably be one of the shortest people there. LOL!
The 2014 RT Booklovers Convention will be held in New Orleans on May 13th – 18th at the Marriott hotel on Canal Street in the historic French Quarter. For the full list of attending authors, who will be signing at the Giant Book Fair on May 17th, here they are: All Authors, Young Adult Authors, and New Adult Authors.
