BBAW & Vampires

Don’t forget people, the Book Blogger Appreciation Week begins on Monday, so make sure you check back to find out about each day’s contest. You’ll only have the one day to enter so you don’t want to miss out. I have all the posts ready to go and the first one will be posted at 8am on Monday. I won’t be the only one hosting a giveaway, there are a bunch of others, so make sure you check out the complete list. Also, today’s the last day to get your votes in for BBAW Awards, so if you want your voice heard, get over there.

Interviews:

  • Karen Miller, author of the Kingmaker, Kingbreaker series, by Davebredon
  • Kimberly Pauley, author of Sucks to be Me, by Cynations
  • Marta Acosta, author of the Casa Dracula series, by Amberkatze. Amber has a contest running along with her interview fro two of Acosta’s novels.

Jaye Wells was able to announce the cover for her debut novel, Red-Headed Stepchild. The novel comes out in April 2009. Here’s a blurb for her novel:

Half-mage and half-vampire, Sabina Kane’s mixed blood has made her the red-headed stepchild of the vampire race. Despite this, she is loyal to the Dominae, the vampire rulers who raised her to be an assassin. But when Sabina discovers the Dominae’s secret plans to wage war against the mage race, she must choose between the only family she’s ever known and the one that disowned her at birth.

I didn’t even know they were doing this, but Christophe Beck’s music for Buffy the Vampire Slayer is now available to buy! Buffy the Vampire Slayer: the Score was just released and it has a lot of the instrumental songs from the show. I’m a Buffy fan, so I’ll definitely be adding this to my collection at some point in the future.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
