Look Who’s Going to RT: KT Grant

KT Grant

KT GrantCan you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
I’m a plucky redhead, born and raised in New Jersey. I’ve written over twenty-five, LGBT and Straight romances, ranging from Historical to Contemporary, Paranormal and Erotica.

I can be found at: Website | Babbling About Books | Facebook | Twitter | Google+ | GoodReads | Amazon

Can you introduce us to the world(s) that you have created?
Most of my books take places on the East Coast in big cities like New York City, or small towns I create from my imagination. My Lesbian Historical Romances usually take place in England during the mid to late 19th century.

Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
This is my first RT but my second time to New Orleans. If RT is like most cons I’ve been to (I’ve gone to Book Expo America, New York Comic Con, RWA Nationals and Gay Rom Lit), I recommend anyone attending to take their time and not get overwhelmed. Also wear comfortable shoes and don’t be afraid of going up to people you don’t know. Based on my experience at conferences, so many people are in the situation as you and looking to make new friends.

Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to or are planning on attending?
I’ll be one of the authors at Kensington’s Karmic Carnival on Thursday, and I’m one of the authors hosting Romance Pride: Wheel of Fortune on Friday (everyone wins a prize!). I’ll also be at Club RT on Wednesday.

Is there anything in particular you’re looking forward to or experiencing while in New Orleans?
I really want to go on a tour of the city, and hopefully find some great restaurants so I can try the delicious New Orleans cuisine. I also want to go back and visit the Hotel Monteleone on Royal Street. The Monteleone has a moving carousel for their bar in their lounge. It’s a great place to buy a drink, sit back and enjoy the live piano music.

If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
Look for the redhead walking around with Mho Fho, her personal blog’s demon sheep mascot.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
