Look Who’s Going to RT: Chelsea Mueller (Vampire Book Club)

Chelsea MuellerCan you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
Sure! I’m Chelsea Mueller. I write YA thrillers. Sometimes with sci-fi elements, sometimes not. Always with kickass heroines.

On the blogging side, I founded and run Vampire Book Club, a book reviews blog covering paranormal romance, urban fantasy and young adult novels. You’ll also find me at Heroes & Heartbreakers gossiping about the best books and swooning over TV characters.

I can be found at: Website | Vampire Book Club | Facebook | Twitter | Google+

Can you introduce us to the world(s) that you have created?
I’m skipping this one for REASONS. :D

Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
This will be my first RT. Eep! While I’ve tackled other conventions, something tells me this is going to be a special one. However, if I’ve learned anything over the last few years it’s bring comfortable shoes.

Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to or are planning on attending?
I’ll be speaking on the Author/Blogger Partnership panel Thursday alongside Darynda Jones, Kristen Painter, Amanda Carlson, Angela from Under the Covers and Dana from Readaholics Anonymous.

If you want to know how to forge those relationships that get the best content for blogs and the most benefit to authors, it’s definitely the panel to be at.

Is there anything in particular you’re looking forward to or experiencing while in New Orleans?
Does shenanigans count? My favorite part about conventions is the chance to interact with all these other people who love books the way I do. We don’t get that near enough in our daily lives.

Okay, in addition to general carousing with book lovers, I’m also pretty excited about the pub crawl. I’ve heard there are some crazy things in store.

If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
Chances are it will be warm enough in NOLA that I’ll be wearing something sleeveless. Bright colors on the shoulders + red hair = me (probably).

Do come up in say hi. I’m always bummed when people tweet me the next day after events saying they saw me, because I want to meet you guys! Just know I’m a hugger.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
