Nightflyers

We have another artist spotlight today – Amy Brown. Her work involves a lot of fairies but they are completely unique and bring out a life of their own. The featured piece is called Night Flyers.

As for yesterday’s BBAW contest for a copy of Nora Roberts Dreammakers, the lucky winner is…Teresa W. Today’s contest is for a copy of Dark Lover by JR Ward. Don’t forget the other two contests still going on. The first one is a copy of Midnight’s Daughter by Karen Chance and goes until Sunday night. The second one is for Jayel Gibson’s interview and she has offered up so awesome prizes.

For today’s Weekly Geeks quotes, I’m going for some that are more fun.

I was grateful for all those times I didn’t stab my brain with a key, and listened to it. – Wil Wheaton

Just remember that politicians are like diapers and need to be changed often for the same reason. – Fireweaver Slashdot.org

Outside of a dog, a book’s a man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read. – Groucho Marx 1895-1977

Anya Bast is still running her “book of the day” giveaway and today’s pick is Everlasting Bad Boys by Shelley Laurenston, Cynthia Eden, and Noelle Mack. I’ve read Laurenston and Eden’s When He Was Bad and loved it, so this one should be equally as good.

We have some fabulous Rachel Vincent news today. She’s requested the permission to post excerpts for both Pride (2.1.2009) and Prey (7.1.2009), the next two Werecat novels. I know I’m excited to read it. Plus, she’s given us the release dates for her new young adult series – My Soul to Take (9.1.2009), My Soul to Save (10.1.2009) and a third untitled novel (11.1.2009).

There is still time left to get your entry in for Keri Arthur’s contest for an ARC of Destiny Kills. This is the first novel in her new series and it promises to be a good one.

One last addition for today…Laurell K Hamilton was interviewed by This Week In Geek at DragonCon.  You can check out the interview here.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
