randicooleywilson

Black Friday.2014Black Friday is here and we’re discussing the season with Randi Cooley Wilson’s Eve and the London clan of protectors from Redemption.

A LOVE RETURNS. A LOYALTY IS BROKEN. AND WAR BEGINS. For Eve Collins, darkness has descended after her love vanished into the night sky. A new protector has been appointed, one who challenges everything she’s believed to be true. In this third installment of The Revelation Series, Eve will become aware of dangers and worlds that exist only in her nightmares, and bloodline secrets that will trigger a centuries old war. You can escape anything, except your destiny.

Make sure you stick around to the end. We’ll be giving away a signed copy of Revelation or Restraint.

If You Stop Believing in Santa, All You’ll Get is Panties!

RCWilson-Redemption“Why the fuck are we doing this again, siren?” Asher complains.

“Revenge,” I state simply and take another step forward.

The striking dark prince narrows his indigo eyes and folds his muscular arms over his chest. “Revenge?” his voice lined with disbelief. “You do realize we’re at the mall, siren?”

I shrug. “Shopping on Black Friday is a holiday tradition.”

“By the grace this sucks. Twenty minutes to find a parking spot because the fucking valet was full, a five mile hike to the entrance, proceeded by hours upon hours of searching for the perfect gifts, and now this?” he groans.

I smile mischievously. “You forgot the fifteen minutes we stood in line for the soft pretzel you just had to have. The twenty-two minutes we waited for the Cinnabon cinnamon roll, and the ten minutes of painful line lingering in order to get you the ice cream cone you scoffed down without sharing.”

“I’m a gargoyle. I need substance in order to deal with this human holiday stress.” Asher waves his hand dramatically around the crowded mall. “Don’t judge me, siren.”

My eyes skim over the scene. He’s right, it’s a fucking nightmare. Between the cheesy Christmas music looping over the ancient sound system and the excessive amount of decorations, I might just hand myself over to Lucifer this holiday season and end the self-imposed misery. Damn, have mall decorators not heard that ‘less is more’?

“Well, look at the bright side,” I sigh.

His eyebrows rise to his hairline. “There’s a fucking bright side?”

“I didn’t ask you to hold my purse,” I smirk and point to the poor man in line ahead of us holding twenty bags and his wife’s tote, while she attempts to keep their three screaming children calm.

Asher’s eyes become intense. “You don’t want me to hold your purse, siren?” he asks in his sexy voice.

“No.” What the hell is he doing?

He takes an intimidating step toward me. “I fucking will. I’ll hold anything you want me to,” his tone seductive.

Good lord, I need some fresh air before I jump him right here, in line, in front of all these poor innocent people. “Back off protector,” I warn pointing my candy cane at him.

Asher takes my warning as a challenge and steps further into my personal space. “I need a taste.”

“What?” my voice is all breathy.

He leans in closer so his mouth is a millimeter from mine. “Of the candy cane,” he whispers, sending shivers down my spine.

“The…what?” I question my hazel eyes fixated on his pouty pink lips.

The side of his lip tilts as his gaze drops to my candy cane. His large hand closes around mine, bringing both of our hands, and my minty treat, to his mouth. Slowly, he wraps his lips around it and sucks. Holy shit.

“Not gonna lie guys. Your eye fucking is really out of control,” Callan taunts approaching us with his mate.

“Babe!” Abby admonishes. “Language, there are small children around.” She offers an apologetic look to the parents standing around us in line.

Callan’s eyes twinkle as he plants a light kiss to Abby’s temple, causing her to beam. Damn gargoyle mates. Suddenly, Callan realizes which line we’re in. “Eves, what the hell, cutie?” he whines.

I smile sweetly at him. “You have to get over your fear of elves. They’re not real.”

Last year for Christmas Callan gave, and forced me to wear, this pink frilly apron that said I believe in gargoyles. This is my revenge, his photo with Santa and the one thing that brings this protector to his knees, elves.

“Come on baby…I know you want your picture taken with Santa,” Abby coos. “Here, I even bought you this shirt for the photo.” Abby lifts a shirt to Callan’s chest that reads It’s cool, You Can Jingle My Bells.

“That’s fucking brilliant,” Asher says around the last of my candy cane.

“Did you find something for Kenna?” Abby asks me as we take another step toward Santa.

Callan shivers as he stares down the elves in an unhealthy manner.

I pull out the pretty blue scarf I bought and show her. “Oh, no, Eve you have to return that. Kenna is super allergic to wool. She blows up like a balloon. That will for sure kill her.”

“Bummer, we wouldn’t want her face to explode or anything,” my voice dripping with insincerity.

“By the grace, this place is a fucking nightmare, blood of Eden!” McKenna’s voice drifts over to the four of us in line, as she makes her way toward us with Asher’s older brother and her mate, Keegan in tow.

I sigh and place the scarf back in the bag and remind myself to have it gift-wrapped. There’s no way I’m not watching evil Barbie blow up like a balloon.

“Is there a reason we’re standing in line to have our photo with Santa?” Keegan asks.

“Um, cutie, I think I need a chocolate chip cookie, so my girl and I are going to bow out of this photo with Santa thing you’ve planned,” he starts to back away.

“Do not take another step gargoyle. We are taking a family holiday photo with Santa and the elves. It’s supposed to be fun and you’re all ruining it,” I accuse.

McKenna’s sapphire eyes become slits. “Why is this necessary?”

I exhale a long breath. “Listen, I’ve never really had a family to take a family holiday photo with. I do now. This is my Christmas wish. Please?” I beg. Everyone is silent which pisses me off. “Listen here gargoyles. Keegan is going to smile. Callan is going to sit on Santa’s lap away from the elves, Abby is going to look gorgeous as ever, and McKenna…just try not to stab me before we get the shot. Is that too much to ask of this clan?”

“What about me?” Asher’s breath is at my ear.

“You just, stop getting me all hot and bothered,” I retort as he chuckles.

After two long hours of waiting in line, I finally make my way to the mall Santa along with the London clan of protectors. Once we’re positioned, Asher leans closer to me.

“You know what they say about Santa, siren?” his voice is sexy and deep.

I ignore the humming his closeness is causing. “What?”

“Everyone ready? Happy Holidays on three,” the photographer says. “One…two…”

“If you stop believing in Santa, all you’ll get are panties,” he whispers seductively.

“Happy Holidays…”

Randi Cooley Wilson, along with the cast and crew of The Revelation Series wish you all a wonderful Holiday season!
