Mind Rebels

I keep seeing the cover for Carolyn Crane’s Mind Games, but I have to say, I really haven’t heard much about it yet. The cover looks amazing and from what SciFiGuy has, it sounds to be interesting, but I guess I’ll have to wait until March 23, 2010 to get my hands on it.

Interviews:

Check out what’s available for preorder on Amazon – Lover Mine by JR Ward. That’s right, Amazon is reporting that the next Black Dagger Brotherhood novel – John Matthrew’s story – will be out May 6, 2010. There’s even a blurb, check it out:

In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there’s a deadly war raging between vampires and their slayers. And there exists a secret band of brothers like no other – vampire warriors, defenders of their race…John Matthew has been through his vampire transition and taken to the life of the Brotherhood with a vengeance, but he still can’t shake the nightmare of his past and is unsure of his future as a warrior hero. He’s made a promise to honour the Brotherhood and their fight with the slayers at all costs, until the love of his life is kidnapped and he is forced to make a choice that could change his life and the Brotherhood’s forever…

Is it common knowledge that Eclipse will hit movie theaters in May 2010?  I thought we were going to have to wait a whole year between the release of New Moon and Eclipse, but I guess not.

How often do you see hot guys in glasses on the cover?  I don’t think it’s very often so I have to show you the cover for Linnea Sinclair’s Rebels and Lovers.  I’m not familiar with the series or the author, but Kmont is excited about getting it.  I’ll have to check out this Dock 5 series.  Rebels and Lovers comes out March 23, 2010.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. WHAT?! You haven’t read any Linnea Sinclair? It’s like Babs discovering I hadn’t finished Outlander lolol! OK, not quite that tragic, but ya know. Sinclair really is great. The Dock 5 series starts off with two pretty heavy yet very good books, Gabriel’s Ghost first, Shades of Dark second. Then you’ve got Hope’s Folly. Hope’s Folly can be a standalone, but the first two should be read in order. I hope you enjoy them if you try the, out. :)

  2. Oh, also, on Crane’s book, she used to have a work-in-progress author site up but I’m guessing it’s getting even more overhauled ATM. I wish I could remember the blurb she had there but maybe it might not really apply now too, since she took it down. Surely we’ll get some more info before it releases.

  3. Jackie ~

I hear there’s an exerpt from Lover Mine (#8 Black Dagger Brotherhood) in the new #1 Fallen Angels series book, Covet, scheduled for release 9/29. Author, of course, is J.R. Ward ;-)

  4. LOL! Jackie, you’re as bad as Katie. :D

If I ever get Outlander read it won’t be for a long time. There are just too many I actually *want* to read.

  5. Jackie, I love Sinclair and also really recommend her GAMES OF COMMAND. My favorite of hers. It’s a standalone. And I agree on the guy in glasses on a cover. Love to see more of them! :)
