Introducing MIDNIGHT GAMES and AT THE BEACH!

Literary Escapism has the awesome opportunity of being one of the featured bloggers for both the Reading Until Dawn in Denver, Colorado (October 2015) and Coastal Magic Convention in Daytona Beach, Florida (February 2016). With this distinction, one of our responsibilities is to help showcase the various featured authors that will be appearing at each of the conventions as well as the convention itself.

I don’t know about you guys, but putting together an endless run of interviews can get dull after awhile. Especially when I’m not the only one doing convention spotlights. So I wanted to do something a little different…and I do love mini fiction (case in point – Black Friday and School’s In)…so I started scheming.

I had these ideas (one for each obviously) and I talked with quite of few of the authors who will be attending both #RUDC15 and #CMCon16, and they were on board! Check out these two new exclusive mini-fiction series that will be appearing on LE over the next couple of months.

#RUDC15‘s MIDNIGHT GAMES

RUDC15.MidnightGames.485pxBetween now and October, Midnight Games will be showcasing the #RUDC15 authors as they spin tales of what their characters are doing as they stay up all night playing games. Whether it’s poker, cards against humanity, monopoly, whatever – I have a feeling we’re going to see some interesting shenanigans.

Jeffe Kennedy has kick started the event off with a story featuring Celestina and Ryan from her recently released Falling Under novel, Under Contract. To find out what Midnight Games these two indulge in, click here.

Keep your eyes open for stories from these #RUDC15 featured authors: Mario Acevedo, Candace Blackburn, Roselynn Cannes, Kate Corcino, Aaron Michal Ritchey, Katee Robert, and more!

#CMCon16‘s AT THE BEACH

CMC16.At the Beach.485pxBetween now and January, At the Beach will be showcasing the #CMCon16 authors as they take their characters to the beach for some fun in the sun. Whether it’s a fun relaxing trip, the start to some new adventure, or whatever, I have a feeling we’re going to have some fun on the beach.

SE Smith kick started the event off with her story, A Dragonlings’ Day at the Beach, featuring Ha’ven and his girls from the recently released Dragonlings of Valdier novella, A Dragonlings’ Magical Christmas.  Mary Behr just joined in the fun with her story featuring Hannah Halloran, the lovely femme fatale from the third Tidewater novel, Energized, which releases August 3rd.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
