There’s never been a female on the Dallas SWAT team and Senior Corporal Xander Riggs prefers it that way. The elite pack of alpha male wolfshifters is no place for a woman. But Khaki Blake is no ordinary woman.

When Khaki walks through the door attractive as hell and smelling like heaven, Xander doesn’t know what the heck to do. Worse, she’s put under his command and Xander’s protective instincts go on high alert. When things start heating up both on and off the clock, it’s almost impossible to keep their heads in the game and their hands off each other…

Quick Q&A with Paige Tyler

If you could be one urban fantasy creature/person/magical thing, what would you be?

I could go with the usual answers, but that would be boring. So I’ll try something different. If given the chance, I’d want to be a bunny shifter! That’s because a bunny most fits my personality. I’m soft and cuddly. I like to be picked up by hunky guys (well, one hunky guy in particular) and given a good petting. Oh, and when faced with danger, I either freeze or run like hell!

Of course, I really wouldn’t want to end up as a meal for a wolf or an eagle, or anything else for that matter. So, as long as we’re talking about being fantasy creatures, I’d want to be a ninja bunny shifter with a sword! And maybe those throwing stars thingies too. If I couldn’t avoid trouble by freezing or running, I’d pull out my mad ninja skills and go all Thumper on them!

If you could be one of the characters in your book for one day, who would it be and why?

That would definitely be Khaki. She has so many amazing abilities. Her nose is like a card catalogue of the world (once she smells something, she never, ever forgets it). She’s strong, tough, nearly fearless, and is brave enough to throw herself into the alpha male dominated world of the Dallas SWAT team (full of alpha werewolves). When she sees something wrong, she’s willing to put herself in the middle of the situation to do the right thing. And if that isn’t enough, she’s caught the attention of one of the hunkiest alpha werewolves in the world. Who wouldn’t like that?

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
