#BlackFriday: When a Navy SEAL Goes…Shopping? by Anne Elizabeth

Black Friday is here and we’re discussing the season with Anne Elizabeth’s Maura and Declan from A SEAL Forever.

Even a hero needs someone to believe in him…

Parkour instructor Maura Maxwell has always denied her attraction for her bachelor neighbor because she’s seen his revolving door of women and doesn’t want to become another notch on his belt. But the man who rescues her from a sudden storm isn’t the one she thinks she knows—he’s Master Chief Declan Swifton of SEAL Team Five, and he literally sweeps Maura off her feet.

Just as his teasing and tenderness start to work their way into Maura’s heart, Declan and his team are called in for a dangerous op in the Middle East. The man who returns is facing the toughest fight of his life, and he needs Maura by his side more than ever…

Make sure you stick around to the end. We’ll be giving away 5 copies of Anne Elizabeth’s A SEAL At Heart.

When a Navy SEAL Goes…Shopping?

AElizabeth-A SEAL ForeverBeing a strong woman needs to be celebrated. In A SEAL Forever, my heroine is a very strong woman both physically and mentally. Sure, she has a few things she’s working through, but who doesn’t? The man who falls in love with her does so because she’s unique, powerful, and real. She’s doesn’t mold herself to his world, rather she grows her own world and finds out that he is changing right along with it. Leading by example goes both ways—sometimes she leads and sometimes he does; and the best relationships cherish the time that they walk side-by-side. A SEAL Forever…when being 100% of yourself means being honest about life and love.

I don’t know a Navy SEAL who enjoys shopping, especially during the holidays. If Declan, the hero of A SEAL Forever, is anything like my husband, he would either be shopping via the computer with at-home delivery or waiting in the car while I ran around like a maniac in the store. Among the things on Maura and Declan’s shopping list would be items for Declan’s Teammates such as car polish, gun cleaning kit, 20 yr. old scotch or a sampler of craft beers, new paddle board, or joke gifts such as deodorant, fungus cream, air freshener, and coal. For Maura’s friends, she would be giving them one-month gift certificates to her gym, workout gear, and inspirational books, and her fun gifts would be gift certificates for ice cream cones or coffee drinks, superhero capes, and comic books.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
