#BlackFriday Roundup & Contest Winners

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday season!  It’s time to announce all the winners for the Black Friday contests.

Before I get to the winners, I want to thank everyone who stopped by during this years Black Friday celebrations. It was the features 5th year and it keeps getting better and better with a ton of great authors participating. If you missed all the Black Friday craziness, you can check out the stories here.

Yet again, the record for longest story was broken this year. In 2014, Kenny Soward took the prize with Cruddy Christmas at 4,551 words. This year Trillian Anderson took him out with her story Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue at 5,678 words. Wow! The average word count for all of the 2015 stories was 1,894 words – Black Friday featured over 50,000 words of original content from 30+ authors! I can’t thank the authors enough for taking the time to write the wonderful stories they did!

In case you’re wondering, Black Friday will return November 25, 2016.

Now let’s start opening some gifts.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
