What Not to Say to a #Bookworm

Scholastic does this fantastic warehouse sale near the end of the school year, which is currently going on now in my area, and of course I go. You can get some pretty great savings on children through young adult books. Hell, I managed to pick up a copy of Sharon Cameron’s Rook last year for $5 when it was still being sold at just released hardcover prices. You better believe I’m planning to go again this year.

I’m going today in fact and I wanted to see if a friend wanted to go with me. Her response still has me flabbergasted. I mean, really? How is that even possible? *grin*

Me: Wanna go to the Scholastic warehouse sale?
Friend: Nah, we’re good on books.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. Just went to the library yesterday and brought home six big books! (Two different YA fantasy series – SO excited!!) When I got home one of our family friends was there and was shocked… My dad just looked at him and said, “Yeah she’ll be done with those in a week.” His face looked just like this gif!
