Have You Registered for Coastal Magic? You Should?

It’s the middle of July and that means Rust City Book Con is only a few short weeks away, but I had to take a moment and remind everyone that…

Registration for Coastal Magic is OPEN!!

Don’t miss your chance to meet over 50 fabulous urban fantasy, paranormal, and romance authors at Coastal Magic next February! Coastal Magic is easily one of my favorite cons to go to.This super casual book-lover weekend happens on Daytona Beach (those of you with me in the north know why this is awesome), and gives everyone the chance to hang out with fellow readers and amazing storytellers. Plus it occurs the weekend of my birthday. What’s not to love, right?

There will also be a charity book sale and signing open to convention attendees, and FREE to the public. The charity, once again, is Habitat For Humanity. One of the nice things about the signing is that there will be additional authors participating, so keep an eye on the charity signing page to see who sneaks in for the afternoon!

Here’s the official details, straight from Jennifer:

The registration (which is $90 and covers all our scheduled activities, and your lunch with an author on Saturday) is capped at 250 readers/bloggers. We came *really* close to selling out of registrations last year, so if you know you’re going to be coming to hang with us by the beach in February, I suggest getting yourself settled earlier than later! You just need to go to the REGISTRATION page of this site, and after you check out the details, you can click the EventBrite.com button there to buy your full weekend ticket.

Coastal Magic Convention’s raffle benefits one of our local Habitat For Humanity chapters. A portion of sales from books sold through our bookseller (Books-A-Million) will go to Community Partnership For Children.

Still not convinced? Check out what these past featured authors have had to say:

“I loved the intimacy of the convention. Not too big, not too small, but still busy busy busy. It’s one that every fan of PNR, UF, and Fantasy should come visit.” – Eric R Asher, author of the Vesik series

“I’ve been every year, and here’s why: it’s a community. This convention brings together authors, bloggers and readers
in such a way that we all get to know each other pretty well. We become a family.” – Lucienne Diver, author of the Latter-Day Olympians and Vamped series.

“[Jennifer] promised me Florida beaches in February, enthusiastic readers, and great, organized programming. Wow – did she ever deliver! This is now at the top of my list for favorite reader-organized conventions.” – Jeffe Kennedy, author of the Uncharted Realms and Twelve Kingdom series.

If you haven’t been to Coastal Magic yet, you’re missing out on a lot of fun.  Be sure to keep up with all things Coastal Magic, by following it via your own personal social media drug of choice: Facebook |Twitter | Google+ | Pinterest | RSVP at the Facebook Event.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
