Before I get to announcing any new winners, don’t forget that the contest for a copy of Erica Hayes’ Shadowfae ends tomorrow night. You still have time to enter so head over and do that!
Imagine a secret world veiled in fairy glamour and brimming with unearthly delights. A city swarming with half-mad fairies, where thieving spriggans rob you blind, beautiful banshees mesmerize you with their song, and big green trolls bust heads at nightclubs. And once you’re in, there’s no escape…
Enslaved by a demon lord, Jade is forced to spend her nights seducing vampire gangsters and shapeshifting thugs. After two hundred years as a succubus, she burns for freedom and longs to escape her brutal life as a trophy girl for hell’s minions. Then she meets Rajah, an incubus who touches her heart and intoxicates her senses. Rajah shares the same bleak fate as she, and yearns just as desperately for freedom. But the only way for Jade to break her bonds is to betray Rajah—and doom the only man she’s ever loved to a lifetime in hell.
Now it’s time to draw the winner for Chloe Neill contest. I will warn you, I’m going to be doing these a little differently. I got this idea from Michelle and I like how she does it. Basically, I’m inputting everyone’s names into random.org, randomizing them 2 or 3 times, then using Research Randomizer to pick a number. This way, for those who do all the extras, your name isn’t listed in a row. So instead of holding spots #3-5, you could now be holding 3, 6, 18, 34, etc. This way, it doesn’t matter when you leave a comment or get that dreaded #1 spot. So here was the list of entrants after being randomized a couple of times:

Now, without further ado, the winners are:
- A signed copy of Friday Night Bites and a Cadogan House gift pack, which includes a pen, bar coaster, sticker, Visitor’s Pass and bookplate goes to – 56. Jacki who said: There are so many authors that I would love to sit down and talk to, but I’ve been lucky that when I email authors that so many of them email back. Not exactly sitting down with the author, but Jacki makes an excellent point. With the Internet so accessible, it’s so easy to talk with our favorite authors now. I know I’m talking with way more than I ever thought I would a year ago.
- A copy of Some Girls Bite goes to – 41. Katie S who said: I would love to talk with Jim Butcher. A really really close second would be JR Ward. Both seem incredibly cool.
Plus, I still haven’t heard from 5 winners from the BBAW contests, so I’m redrawing the names. All winners will have one week to contact me. If I don’t hear from you by next Monday, then those books not claimed will go back into the prize pool.
- Kushiel’s Mercy by Jacqueline Carey – Lyndsey Leask who, strangely enough, found Literary Escapism. Seriously, the Randomizer picked Lyndsey. :)
- Blood Promise by Richelle Mead – Elie N who found Melanie’s Musings and I’m Booking It.
- Dead to Me by Anton Strout – Alexa who said: I really like Henry from Blood Ties by Tanya Huff.(he’s a vampire-that counts as magical right? and he’s not exactly a detective, but he helps Viki who’s a PI-I hope this counts=D) I love him because he sounds really smooth and charming.
- Dark Time by Dakota Banks – Raelena who said: I wouldn’t do it because I would probably slip up in my wording and they would take advantage of that. The only thing that they could offer me to do it is if I was about to die and they offered to save me.
- Destiny Kills by Keri Arthur – Kristen who said: Morgaine from The Mists of Avalon (the book, not the tv miniseries) is one of my favorite magical characters. She’s a priestess of Avalon, and she’s such a wonderfully conflicted character. I also like Phedre from Jacqueline Carey’s Kushiel series because she’s not necessarily a magical being but she has magical experiences. And of course Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings is a wizard who is hard to forget.
So that’s it. Those are my new winners. You need to please email me to claim your prize, so please send me your snail mail info to myjaxon AT gmail by next Monday. Thank you.
