My local Meijer (super grocery store for those not in the Great Lakes region) may just have needed the space to expand the YA section since it took up the entire previous aisle. But I would have assumed they would have had at least one self help novel in this section. Yea, I don’t get the correlation and I don’t think I’m going to try and figure it.
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

That’s going to have some teens looking for help really confused if they think those novels are a pattern for life…

Okay, that is hilarous! Are they ALL vampire/dystopia/zombie books? I recognize a lot of covers, actually, which makes me somewhat proud. lol.
Wait! I think there’s a self-help book in the second picture, on the right side, second row up from the bottom!

Thank god I’m not the only one having a WTF moment. ;P There may be a self-help book in there somewhere, but there are way to many paranormal novels for that to be the section title.
