Winners Announced!

Check me out…I’m not behind on announcing winners for any contests.  I am kind of shocked since I’ve been a little flaky lately.  I think I’m starting to get back on track.  Woot!

Tto start out, I determined the winner by inputting everyone’s names into random.org, randomizing them 2 or 3 (or more) times, then using Research Randomizer to pick a number.  This way, for those who do all the extras, your name isn’t listed in a row.  So instead of holding spots #3-5, you could now be holding 3, 6, 18, 34, etc.  This way, it doesn’t matter when you leave a comment or get that dreaded #1 spot.

Now that the fine print has been brought to life, let’s announce a winner for a copy of a Guardian of Eternity novel by Alexandra Ivy.  She stopped in at Literary Escapism last week and it was a blast having her here.  Did you see her post?

The question asked was: what do you prefer your heroes to be? Whacky and fun or dark and angsty? Why? There were a lot of great answers, but the winning response goes to…DONNA S who said: I like wacky and fun with a hint of the dark side in my heros. It adds conflict and something extra to the relationships and storylines.

Yesterday, I posted about a series of 24hr contests that I’m doing.  The first winner was MADHURIMA1986 for winning the news subscription contest, however, I haven’t heard from Madhurima yet, so if I don’t hear from him/her by the end of the six contests, then I’ll redraw a name from the subscribers for the remaining book.  MADHURIMA1986 at gmail, the clock is ticking.  Contact me please.

I started the second one on facebook last night and everyone had until 6pm to enter.  So let’s draw a name!  The winner is…SHAINE K!

Congratulations everyone.  The Twitter contest will be going up momentarily, so if you’re not a follower yet and want in on the contest, click here.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. Hi Jackie, I have noticed you haven’t been around lately, but I wouldn’t call you flakey.

Was this the winner from your hiatis contest. I really enjoyed that. I did miss you,but found a few great blogs. Dark Faerie Tales was my favorite.

  2. I knew I was missing one! That will be announced today. I’ve been around, just not with the reviews. :) I really got hit by the reading bug and haven’t been on my computer as much as I’ve had my nose in a book. I’m going to work on my reviews this weekend. I’m not starting another book until they are done.
