Definitely Dead by C. Harris

I just picked up Charlaine Harris’ lasted Sookie Stackhouse novel and I wanted to give my review while it was still fresh in my head.

For Ms. Harris’ sixth installment in the life of Sookie Stackhouse, Definitely Dead answers some questions that many of us have and some we didn’t know we were suppose to be asking. The book picks up after Ms. Harris’ short story “One Word Answer” (which was published in the “Bite” Anthology), where Sookie finds herself heading to New Orleans to take care of her cousin Hadley’s estate. Prior to her trip, she finds romance from an new source and a headache returns in the form of the Pelt family. Throughout all of her adventures, Sookie uncovers a few secrets that help with her confusing relationships with Eric and Bill the vampires and meets a new friend that goes home with her to Bon Temps.

This books seems to tie up a bunch of loose ends so that when the seventh installment comes out, we’ll be able to start with a fresh romance as well as some new adventures that will involve some new people. Definitely Dead is definitely longer than her previous novels, but it is definitely worth the time to read it.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
