Thursday Thirteen: Anthologies

Did everyone see my post about Short Story Saturdays this past weekend?  If you didn’t, just think reviewettes and a way of sharing them.  Or you can go read Nicola’s introduction, where she does a far better job than I did.

However, with S3 in mind, I thought I would follow Nicola’s lead and do my first Thursday Thirteen with a list of anthologies I’m looking forward to.  It seems like anthologies are a dime a dozen any more, but these are the ones that caught my eye. If you check out Nicola’s list, between the two of us, you’ll have 26 different anthologies to pique your interest and maybe read in time for our first S3 on December 5th.

  1. Bad-Ass Faeries featuring CJ Henderson, Keith R.A. DeCandido, Monica Richards and Adam P. Knave as well as the sequel Bad-Ass Faeries 2: Just Plain Bad featuring Danielle Ackley-McPhail, Jeffrey Lyman, L. Jagi Lamplighter and Lee C. Hillman (Fantasy)

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. Hi, wandered over from Alpha Heroes –

reading ‘Must Love Hellhounds’ right now, the one I’m looking forward to is ‘Mammoth Book of Time Travel Romance’ (I think). Have you read an older one called ‘Queen of Winter'(fantasy)? It had Sharon Shinn, Claire Delacroix, Sarah Monette, and Lynn Kurland.

    • I have to say, I haven’t heard of Queen of Winter yet. In fact, all four of those authors are new to me, so I may have to check that out soon.
