Short & Kiss Ass

Since I just posted the latest Newsletter last night, I was going to take today off from the news, but while there isn’t a lot, there’s some good things that came out today, so what the hell.  It’s a little short, but I did include something that did brighten my day.

First up, I am feeling the love today.  Check out what Angela from Dark Faerie Tales gave to Literary Escapism…it’s the Kick Ass Blog Award!  Here’s the details for it:

  1. To play you must be awarded this blog button by someone. Accept the badge, stick it on your blog- then post about it.  Make sure your badge links back to the person who gave it to you.
  2. Name five blogs in your post that you think are *worthy* of this sweet kick-ass badge. Don’t forget to let them know you’ve nominated them =)

So who am I passing this on to?  There are so many out there I would give this to, but this time around, I’m passing it along to: Wicked Little Pixie, The Book Smugglers, Lurv a la Mode, Babbling About Books and Bitten by Books.

Ilona Andrews has posted another excerpt from the second Edge novel, which is titled Bayou Moon.  In more snippets, Andrews has also posted a new Curran POV and I’m guessing it’s from Magic Strikes.

Nancy Holzner has posted an excerpt for her upcoming novel, Deadtown, which has a fabulous cover.

Interviews:

CONTESTS GALORE! Fantasy Dreamer’s Ramblings has a ton of contests listed. I’m not even going to begin to count them there’s that many.  Make sure you check it out.

Chloe Neill is giving away a Tiffany & Co Key necklace to one lucky person.  All you have to do is help spread the word about her new YA novel, Firespell.  Contest ends Dec 31st.

Rachel Vincent is giving away an ARC of My Soul to Save.  Contest ends Dec 6th.

Don’t forget, you still have a chance to enter for a chance to win a Kindle from Noobie.  The contest ends Dec. 13th, so if you haven’t entered, I would do so.

How these are some ghosthunters I could get behind.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

    • Um…whoops. You’re right, I did misspell a word up in the title. This is what I get for posting so late at night. It was suppose to say Short & Kick Ass, but honestly, this title is better.
