And the winners are…

I have winners to announce, so let’s get this puppy going.

Carrie Lofty

Just recently, Carrie Lofty stopped by for a surprised visit and was gracious enough to give away a copy of Scoundrel’s Kiss.  Since it was a surprised, this time around there wasn’t a question to answer, but everyone had to leave a meaningful comment. Let see what the winner said…

STEPHANIE N who said: I think it really depends on how it is done. There are some stories where the villain still has some of those qualities that make him so villainous, even though he has redeemed himself, but you know they are still there and he has utter control over them. What girl deep down doesn’t like the bad boy qualities even though he may never use them, just knowing they are there is enough? In some books, he becomes too good and it can actually be a turn off. I’ve actually stopped reading series because this has happened.

Nancy Holzner

I recently had the wonderful Nancy Holzner at Literary Escapism and while she was here, Nancy wanted to give away a copy of her new release, Deadtown.  In order to enter, everyone had to answer: Think of something you’ve chosen to do. How did you decide it was right for you? and the winning response is…

INCiDeNT who said: Writing. I’m the creative type & always loved producing stories in school. I don’t think any other goal would make me satisfied. :)

I Haven’t Heard From…

Lisa, Christi or Cherry who won prizes from the 12 Blogs of Christmas and Blogversary contests, so I’m going to redraw their names.

Only one set of novels were claimed from the 12 Blogs of Christmas contest.   The unclaimed prize – the anthology Four Dukes and a Devil, Stray by Rachel Vincent and an ARC of Annette McCleave’s Drawn Into Darkness.  In order to enter, everyone had to answer: What are you hoping to find under the Christmas tree this year? and the new winner of this collection is..

MISHEL who said: I really hope to get a B&N gift card so I can buy more books! I have a serious problem lol or an eReader for the eBooks I have on my computer =)

Also, for LE’s 2 year blogversary, I gave away two great prize packs – signed copies of Maria Snyder’s Glass series – Storm Glass and Sea Glass and TA Pratt’s Marla Mason series – Blood Engines, Poison Sleep, Dead Reign and Spell Games – and I haven’t heard from either winner.  In order to enter, everyone had to answer: What is it about book blogs that you enjoy? Is there anything you would like to see on LE? So, I get to draw two new winners and they are…

Signed copies of Maria Snyder’s Glass novels – KIM (Sophisticated Dorkiness) who said: Congrats on your blogiversary, that’s awesome! I love book blogs is that they’ve helped make reading a group activity. There is so much that is solitary about reading, so finding a community of people that find as much excitement and happiness in reading and talking about books and sharing what they’re reading is awesome.

TA Pratt’s Marla Mason novels – MAYA M. who said: Happy Blogiversary! I enjoy the roundups you do – saves me time rather than going from blog to blog, plus you visit places I may not have heard about before.

Contact Me

All winners need to contact me.  Everyone has one week to send me an email at myjaxon AT gmail, otherwise I’ll draw new names when I post the current week contest winners next weekend.  Please oh please everyone contact me though.  I really don’t want to have to draw new names.  :)  Also, I’m heading out to the mailbox this afternoon, so anyone who emails me before 3p will have it out in today’s mail.  Otherwise you’ll have to wait until the next run.

As always, I determined the winners by inputting all the entries into the List Randomizer, scrambling it up a couple of times, and then had the Research Randomizer pick a number.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
