Inside the Dead Enchantment

Check out the gorgeous cover Anya Bast unveiled for her second Dark Magic novel, Cruel Enchantment.  Is it me or does Anya have amazing luck with her covers?  This wonderful addition was done by the talented Tony Mauro and will be available in September.

Interviews:

One of the girls in my online PNR group found this information on the next two Argeneau novels by Lynsay Sands:

August 31, 2010: Born To Bite, the thirteenth book in the Argeneau/Rogue Hunter series, will be coming out this September. Armand Argeneau has been living on a farm squirreled away from public life for decades without anyone bothering him. Until now that is. Lucian has been kind enough to volunteer Armand to babysit Eshe d’Aureus in order to protect her from a rogue vampire out for revenge. In reality, Eshe was sent to Armand on assignment to find clues to explain his many wives’ ‘accidental’ deaths. This installment of the Argeneau/Rogue Hunter series will also answer the unanswered questions from Nicholas’s story, The Renegade Hunter.

November 30, 2010: Hungry For You, the fourteenth book in the Argeneau/Rogue Hunter series will be coming out this December. It involves the last of the Willan sisters, Alex, and one of Martine Argeneau’s older sons, Cale. Alex is a successful chef and restaurateur trying to expand her business and the new location’s debut seems to be riddled with bad luck. Can Cale, a successful European chef. . . er . . . businessman, help her keep her business afloat and still keep her frazzled attention long enough to see him for who he really is . . . the love of her life?

In more book news, Larissa Ione announced in her newsletter the next Demonica novel will feature Lore’s sister (Lore’s story, Ecstasy Unveiled, was released today) and will be out sometime late in August.

Kelly Meding has a fabulous new cover for her second Dreg City novel, As Lie the Dead.  This is a great new UF series and if you haven’t read Three Days to Dead, then get your hands on a copy in February and read it for the League Mini-Challenge (Kelly is a Leagure after all).

Cherie Priest has a great article over on io9 for anyone who is still a little confused over what steampunk is.

Have you ever wondered what ebooks mean to authors?  Ilona Andrews gives us a great overview, using Magic Bites as an example, on how ebooks don’t hurt authors.  It’s very enlightening for anyone thinking of going the digital route or someone who hasn’t been converted completely yet (like me).

Check out the gorgeous cover for the third novel in the…I don’t know what this series is called.  Inside Out by Lauren Dane follows Laid Bare and Coming Undone and focuses on Andrew Copeland, Ben’s wonderful brother.  I love the dragon tattoo, but I can’t seem to find when Inside Out is going to be released.

In more Lauren Dane news, she’s posted an excerpt for the third Federation/first Phantom Corps novel, Insatiable.  This is another great science fiction romance series that everyone should be reading as well.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. My guess is the Dark Magic series is much like Anya’s Elemental Magic series. We’ll have cameos from previous couples, but each book will focus on a new one. I haven’t seen a cover copy for Cruel Enchantment yet, but as soon as I know, I’ll get it posted.

  2. Inside Out will release in November of this year. I’m still writing it at the moment, but when I finish up, I’ll put an excerpt up at my blog. Thanks for posting it!
