LE News & Smith-Ready Winner

LE News

First off, I want to say everyone should be seeing a little more of me. I know I’ve been running a little silent this past month, but my energy levels are starting to come back and I’m feeling more focused. I’m going to be getting the March edition of the Escapist Newsletter up today and I’ll be working on getting more reviews up.

Speaking of reviews, I am happy to announce that I’ve added two new reviewers to Literary Escapism – Tricia and Jennifer. They are going to be a godsend and help me get through a lot of the review requests I receive. Once they help me get caught up on the current stack, I’ll take down the restrictions I have on review requests.  This also means more reviews will be showing up.

If you’ve won books from me (and not an author), I’m getting everything ready to the post office this week.  You should be getting them sometime next week (hopefully).

I think that’s all the news regarding the site.  After this, LE should be tuned in to its regularly scheduled programming.

Jeri Smith-Ready Contest

Jeri was amazing and stopped by a couple of weeks ago (the contest just ended last week, so I’m not totally behind) and was discussing the super cool toys that a lot of authors get to make up for their heroes.  While she was here, we gave away a copy of Wicked Game and Bad to the Bone, plus a cool silver metal dog or cat bookmark – to one lucky winner.   All anyone had to do to enter was answered this one simple question: What kind of super cool, kick ass spy toys would you give your hero or heroine?.  Now, without further ado, the winner is:

SARAH, who said: I’ve not read any of this series but it sounds great so I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for the chance to win copies of the first 2 books :o)

I think it would be pretty cool to have some kind of gadget that allowed you to become invisible. Of course you’d still need something to allow you to listen in on conversations from a distance, some kind of recording equipment and some really kick ass weapons too :o)

Congratulations Sarah!  Please contact me at myjaxon AT gmail with your info.

As always, I determined the winners by inputting all the entries into the List Randomizer, scrambling it up a couple of times, and then had the Research Randomizer pick a number.

This week on LE:

Skyler White visited LE yesterday and we’re giving away a copy of her new novel, and Falling, Fly.  Contest ends March 9th.

Tomorrow, author Kelly Abell will be here talking about writing paranormal stories.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
