Eleven on Top by J. Evanovich (AudioBook)

I’ve gotten into audio books lately. I can listen to a book and play on the computer or watch Ian at the same time. It’s kind of nice. I just finished listening to Eleven on Top by Janet Evanovich, which is part of the Stephanie Plum series, read by Lorelei King. I have to say the voice who reads the book is important. The voice for the Hamilton book was good. She wasn’t great for all the other characters, but she had the perfect voice for Anita, in my opinion. The same can not be the same for this one, in fact it’s kind of the opposite. I know Stephanie is from New Jersey and lives in the burg and I do expect a certain Jersey accent, but I don’t expect the voice to sound like she’s 40. Stephanie isn’t that old, is she? She did Grandma Mazur perfectly and the voices for the other characters were a little better.

Overall, this was still a good story. It was easy to follow along with who was talking and what was going on. I just wished my CD-Rom wasn’t acting up.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
