They’ve casted Eric and I have to say that I’m excited about their choice. Alexander Skarsgard will be playing Eric Northman, the sexy vampire sheriff for Area 5. This was just announced last night, but I have to say that they made a good decision in casting him. I can totally see him as Eric and I can’t wait for True Blood to finally get on the air. I just wish I had HBO so I will be able to see it. I’m going to have to find it somehow though.
Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard, a son of Stellan Skarsgard, has joined the cast of “True Blood,” Alan Ball’s new vampire drama series for HBO.
Based on the “Southern Vampire” book series by Charlaine Harris, “True Blood” centers on the love story between a vampire, Bill (Stephen Moyer), and Sookie (Anna Paquin), a waitress who can read people’s minds.
Skarsgard will play a vampire and Viking who has been alive for more than a thousand years. He recently wrapped HBO’s miniseries “Generation Kill.”

I would have much preferred it if Jason Lewis was cast as Eric.

Alex is a great choice for. He can look mysterious at times, he is a great actor, and he is sexy as hell.
Alexander is as SEXY as it gets. Generation Kill is a MUST see! Can’t wait to see him True Blood with long hair! This guy is HOT!
