Look Who’s Going to RT: Toni Blake (aka Lacey Alexander)

Can you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
I write sexy yet heartwarming small town contempories as Toni Blake, and I also write romantic erotica as Lacey Alexander. My next Toni Blake book, SUGAR CREEK, comes out on May 25 and is the 2nd in my Destiny Series. I’m loving this series and am delighted that I’m contracted to write at least six books set in the small town of Destiny. As Lacey, I’ll be starting a new series with my next book, coming out from Penguin/NAL next year. Readers can learn more about “both of me” by visiting www.ToniBlake.com and www.LaceyAlexander.net.

Can you introduce us to the world that you have created?
My Destiny series takes place in the quaint small town of Destiny, Ohio. And though the town is picturesque, there’s plenty of drama there – family secrets, mysterious places, and a few scary people – as well as a healthy dose of alpha heroes, most of whom are just a little bit tortured and need the love and devotion of a good woman to save them.

Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
This will be my 2nd RT conference. My advice: Be ready for to see anything and everything. And bring your dancing shoes!

Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to?
I’ll be speaking on two panels: one called Genre Jumpers, about writing in multiple genres, and one called Read a Book, Save an Author, about what readers can do to support authors they love. I’m also part of a group of writers called the Scamps and Vamps who will be putting on a bookseller luncheon and also a party for readers. As for what I’m looking forward to: the evening events. I love to have a reason to dress up a little, and I also love to dance, so these are lots of fun for me.

If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
At the bookfair, I’ll be in alphabetical order as Toni Blake, but will have both Toni and Lacey books available.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
