Wet Teeth by C. Castellucci

Continuing with The Eternal Kiss anthology, edited by Trisha Telep, the ninth story is Wet Teeth by Cecil Castellucci.

I really don’t have much to say about Wet Teeth.  It’s definitely one of the stories I would probably skip over the next time I read The Eternal Kiss.  The pacing of the story was good, but it was a little hard to get through.  There’s no action or physical conflict at all and the story really focuses on Miles.  He’s lonely.  He isn’t the best of vampires.  There’s a lot of self-reflecting and it really dragged the story in my opinion.

Honestly, there’s really nothing memorable about Wet Teeth and I can’t think of too much to say.  The one thing I do remember is that I’m not looking for any more stories by Castellucci any time soon.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. This story made me cry to be honest. I remember reading it and having all this hope and…I’m not certain when that hoped died out and I realized this was a not going to end well sort of story. Maybe because Miles’ was a little too hopeful?
