Can you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
I’m a single mother who writes paranormal romance novels. I love animals (we currently have one hamster, two dogs, and three cats), chocolate, and playing Rock Band.
Can you introduce us to the world that you have created?
I primarily write the Broken Heart novels (I’m the Vampire, That’s Why), which is a series about paranormal parents raising their mortal children in the small town of Broken Heart, Oklahoma. Book 6, Come Hell or High Water came out in January, and the next book, Cross Your Heart, hits stores in September. And two more books in the series have been contracted! I’m also thrilled about a new series I’m writing set in Texas in an alternate world where magic is real, but only certain people can access it. It’s darker in tone than the Broken Heart novels. My vampire moms are all smart asses, for one thing. LOL.
Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
I’m a veteran. I’ve been to so many RT I’ve lost count. My advice for those attending for the first time is to take it slow, don’t feel like you have to do EVERYTHING, and a mid-afternoon nap is a good way to recharge your batteries.
Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to?
I’m on a couple of panels … one about vampires and another about e-books. I love participating on the panels. Meeting readers and aspiring authors is part of the awesomeness that is RT. I’m really looking forward to hanging out with all the League of Reluctant Adults. We’ll be in Club RT on Thursday and Friday at 11 a.m. Come visit with us!
If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
No doubt I’ll be in the company of Dakota Cassidy, Renee George, Terri Smythe, and any/all of the Reluctant Adults. I’ll be wearing a badge ribbon (and so will other Leaguers) titled Certified League Snarkist. The League will be handing Passports to Snark and badge ribbons to anyone who wants one, so look us up!
