What’s On Your Ereader?

I was in the mood to procrastinate tonight and I started to fiddle around with my Kindle. Has everyone looked at their reader lately?  Do you know how many books are on it?  I so didn’t realize that I had over 50 books waiting for me to read.  Granted, a lot of them are ones that I purchased for free in the Kindle Store (for instance: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare and The Phantom of the Opera) and I really don’t have any inklings to read them right away, but seriously, who’s going to turn down free books?  So I started reorganizing the contents of my Kindle – this was where the procrastination came in.  Side Note: transcribing a live interview is harder than one might think. Anyway, I managed to reduce the number of books on my Kindle from around 50 to the small number of 16.  I know, that’s still a lot of books, but it’s a smaller selection so less to distract me, right?

Now I’m wondering…how many books are on your ereader?  What is on your ereader?  Have you come across any good deals that you can share?

Here are the ones I just placed on mine:

  1. A Kiss of Ashen Twilight by Rae Lori

  4. Gabriel’s Ghost by Linnea Sinclair

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. The latest deal I’ve come across is You Burn Me by Stella and Audra Price at All Romance Ebooks for 99 cents. I think Vicki Pettersson’s The Scent of Shadows available on Kindle for free. All together I have 36 books on my ereader, but the list below are the ones I have yet to read. :)

The Shadow Girl of Birch Grove- Marta Acosta
    Midnight Falls- R.G. Alexander
    Mortal Compass- Ann Cory
    Dark Succession- Teresa D’Amario
    Enforcer- Lauren Dane
    Feral- Nathalie Grey
    Wolfsbane- Nathalie Gray
    Vampire Tango- Michele Hauf
    Damned and Desired- Kathy-Kulig
    Once Bitten- Kalayna Price
You Burn Me- Stella and Audra Price

  2. I have over 300 books on my ereader and about another 100 that haven’t sent to it. Some of them from Net Galley for early review but most from the Kindle store (because you are right who passes up a free book even if you aren’t going to get to it anytime soon)! I do a weekly post of the free things so everyone can grab them up! I am going to have to start looking at other sites that give PDF versions so I can use them on my kindle too :)

  3. I think the number on my Kindle is 304. Once I read them I put them in my archive which lets you know how far behind I am. That is 1 1/2 years of reading for me. I can’t pass up the free books either. I did buy some of my favorite books from Baen Books too. Now I have digital copies of some of the books I like to read again at intervals like the works of Lois McMaster Bujold and Sharon Lee and Steve Miller’s Liaden Universe books.

That collection just keeps growing because it doesn’t look like my TBR pile is growing when I add them to my Kindle.

  4. I’m pretty sure I don’t want to know how many unread books are on my ereader! :) Lots, though. Way more than 50.

  5. I have over 1000 ebooks on my Palm TX….I haven’t read somewhere around 500+ of them, altho I am steadily working at my tbr’s especially since I haven’t been buying very many since Fictionwise pulled all the Agency model books off their listings. I bought my first ebook in late october 2008, love my palm, obviously can’t tell you whats tbr, but I’m currently reading some of Kaitlyln O’Connors books that I found at Barnes and Noble at 64% off (from $1.78 to 3 something)
BN also have 5 free ebooks if you take your reader into the store and get the coupon, one per week for 5 weeks I guess.

  6. I think I have close to 250 items on my kindle. I get samples of every book I’m interested in that comes for the kindle (I do that instead of putting things on a wish list). I think right now about half of the 250 is samples and the rest are all books I’ve either pruchased or picked up as a freebie.
