About Nicole

Attorney by day, Publicist for Barclay Publicity and reviewer/LE (assistant) editor by night. I'm a huge book nerd and love to read. I have 2 dogs, both Labrador retriever mixed breeds, who are very rotten and think they run the house. Let's not lie, they totally do, I just can't them know it ha ha! My usual genre is romance or urban fantasy. I love all things having to do with paranormal, with the occasional good contemp/BDSM/erotica thrown in to spice it all up.

Flight from Hell by Yasmine Galenorn

7 August 2014 Nicole 0

Sometimes I’m just in the mood for a dark, nitty-gritty UF. I can always count on  Yasmine Galenorn to give me a dark and gritty story, and her latest novella, Flight from Hell did not disappoint. Flight from Hell is a bridge between Galenorn’s Otherworld series and her upcoming series, Fly by Night. […]

KCollins--Death's Daughter

Death’s Daughter by Kathleen Collins

29 June 2014 Nicole 0

Ever pick up a book, not knowing it was part of a series, read a few chapters in and thought to yourself “hmm, feels like I’m missing some pieces and I *must* know because I may have missed out on something fabulous”? Well, that is how Death’s Daughter by Kathleen Collins […]

The Saint by Tiffany Reisz

20 June 2014 Nicole 0

Raise your hand if, like me, you’ve been salivating while also pacing and anxiously awaiting The Saint, the first in the Orignial Sinners: The White Years (aka the prequel novels to the Original Sinners series) by Tiffany Reisz. Well, the wait is finally (nearly) over and Reisz delivers yet another captivating […]

RMead--ImmortalCrown

The Immortal Crown by Richelle Mead

1 June 2014 Nicole 1

I have mixed feelings about The Immortal Crown by Richelle Mead, which is the second novel in her Age of X series.  I still love her writing (mainly because she has such a way that is very easy to read) and I do enjoy the storyline of The Age of X series, […]

MMGallagher--Anointed

Anointed by Maggie Mae Gallagher

19 May 2014 Nicole 0

I was very intrigued with Anointed by Maggie Mae Gallagher after reading the blurb, but unfortunately, I simply could not finish this one and am left feeling a bit let down. I was truly hoping for a good UF with lots of magic and action but Anointed left me feeling bored and […]

KFrost--Slightly Spellbound

Slightly Spellbound by Kimberly Frost

7 May 2014 Nicole 0

Oh where have I been for the past few books in this series? I thoroughly enjoyed Slightly Spellbound by Kimberly Frost and cannot wait to read more in this series (and am soooo unhappy that my local library doesn’t carry them so I can go back and read the first 3!!). If […]

JAWalker--Hell for Leather

Hell for Leather by Julie Ann Walker

1 May 2014 Nicole 0

Coming May 6th, the boys of BKI are back…squee…in Hell for Leather by Julie Ann Walker. I have nothing but love for the BKI series, I mean who doesn’t love some hot men, who are all former military/fed agents masquerading as bad biker boys, but who are really private, special ops […]

JWells--Dirty Magic

Dirty Magic by Jaye Wells

18 April 2014 Nicole 0

As many of you probably know by now, I’ve been in a huge book slump. It lasted for all of 2013.  Well, I think I am finally out of it.  Part of that may very well be due to Dirty Magic by Jaye Wells. I became a Jaye Wells fan when I read […]

JAshley--WildWolf

Wild Wolf by Jennifer Ashley

28 March 2014 Nicole 0

I usually look forward to a new book in Jennifer Ashley’s Shifter’s Unbound series. While I liked Wild Wolf, it is probably my least favorite in the series, and to be honest, this should have been a novella, not a full length novel. If you saw my review for Feral Heat, you know […]
