8 January 2010 Jackie 93

I am a huge fan of Jeaniene Frost (if you haven’t guessed that already) and her forum is the only one I’m really active on.  So imagine my shock, surprised and excited face when I found a copy of First Drop of Crimson, the first novel in her Night Huntress […]

Bayou Web Lies

8 January 2010 Jackie 1

Check out what Kindle Vixen found. It’s the cover for Ilona Andrews’ second Edge novel, Bayou Moon. I really like this one. Yes, yes indeed, I could look at this one all day.

Wicked Little Pixie and I are getting together and compiling our series list into one. Between the two of us, we’re trying to get all of the UF/F/PNR/H series in one place and I think we have a good chance of doing it. If you want to make sure we include all of them, check out her list and mine, if we don’t, then let us know.

Mermaids & Shadowy Angels

7 January 2010 Jackie 9

I dislike putting up news post without at least one image, so since there wasn’t any new book covers (that I saw), I went hunting for a few new fantasy images. I love it when I go looking because I always tend to find someone really hot. This time around it is Yuehui Tang. Check this out….isn’t it awesome? And he has more, which I’ll be adding throughout the post.

Katiebabs has an excellent post on what authors should expect from book review blogs. The article came about because an author requested a review site to no longer mention their book. I’m not sure I understand the author’s reasoning since I thought it was better for a book to be talked about, whether it’s good or bad, then not at all. Check out the article; it has some really good points in it.

Marjorie Liu is giving readers the chance to pick what Long Nu, a beloved character from Tiger Eye, will look like in the new RPG game Tiger Eye. There are four drawings by four different artists and the winning concept will be transferred to the game. In more Liu news, Orbit has released the UK covers for the first three Hunters Kiss novels. The covers look hot!

5 January 2010 Jackie 3

Wired Magazine has posted their Top 100 Quotes Every Geek Should Know and I have to say, some of them are good.  And since I love quotes (I really do), here are a few of them. 4. “Spock. This child is about to wipe out every living thing on Earth. […]

3 January 2010 Jackie 8

Take a look at what I found on MaryJanice Davidson’s FB fanpage. The title for the next Queen Betsy novel, which will be Undead and Unfinished. I’ll be honest, I haven’t been checking her site since it doesn’t seem to be updated much (and I dislike the new trend in […]
