Race for the Cure Contest Winners

22 May 2010 Jackie 3

Today was the day. I walked a 5K for the first time and I did it for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  It was quite an experience, but not a bad one.  It was such a madhouse in downtown Detroit today, that it was a bit much […]

22 May 2010 Jackie 7

It’s time to announce the next New Author Mini Challenge, and this time we’re going to focus on a group of authors that are very widespread and very non-genre specific.  I’ll be honest, the idea was totally inspired by two challenges Dark Faerie Tales is hosting for 2010 – Debut […]

What’s On Your Ereader?

20 May 2010 Jackie 8

I was in the mood to procrastinate tonight and I started to fiddle around with my Kindle. Has everyone looked at their reader lately?  Do you know how many books are on it?  I so didn’t realize that I had over 50 books waiting for me to read.  Granted, a […]

Haunted by Prey

20 May 2010 Jackie 0

First off, I have to apologize. I do not have any guest authors this week, which means no contests. However, the good news is I will have two fabulous ones coming up. I interviewed Vicki Pettersson and Keri Arthur while at RT and both of them will be going live next week. I’ll be giving away two copies of City of Souls on Tuesday and a copy of Moon Sworn on Thursday.

I’ll be announcing the winner for Touching Darkness by Jaime Rush Friday, so if you haven’t entered yet, you only have two days to do so. Also, Michele, you won a copy of Flesh Circus by Lilith Saintcrow via the Battle Royale. Please contact me by Friday otherwise I will draw a new winner.

Now, on with the news…Kerrelyn Sparks unveiled the cover for the next Immortals After Dark novel, Eat Prey Love, which is due out September 28, 2010.

Into the Dark by G. Showalter

19 May 2010 Jennifer 4

I usually try and stay away from anthologies. The short stories tend to make me feel like there’s something missing, like maybe they’re being rushed. However, I’m a fan of Gena Showalter’s Lord of the Underworld series, so I decided to give Into the Dark a go. The Darkest Fire—a […]
