Bewitching Enchantments

ABast-Midnight EnchantmentI didn’t realize it had been so long since I last updated the Author Website listing.  As such, I’ll be working on that this week and will have a new one posted soon after.  If I’m missing anyone, please don’t hesitate to add them.

Richelle Mead has posted the original first chapter to her upcoming novel, Bloodlines, which is due out August 23rd.  If you want to compare it with the chapter we’ll this version in August.

Lauren Dane has posted a teaser excerpt from her next Brown Siblings novel, Never Enough, due to release September 6th.

Ilona Andrews has posted an snippet from the third Edge novel, Fate’s Edge, due out in November.

These are only a few of the fabulous covers that have been popping up lately. For all the new covers, I’ve added them to the FB album for your viewing pleasure.

Author Appearances:

I spent the day at Sherrilyn Kenyon’s signing in Ann Arbor and found out some fabulous news.  Not only has her Chronicles of Nick series been optioned for film, but it won’t just be one film.  Oh no, they are working multiple films.  Plus the Dark-Hunters are going to be coming to television as a series and it will be done by the same company that produced the Lord of the Rings trilogy.  While the show hasn’t been pitched anywhere yet, it is already in development and the search for a screenwriter is underway.  However, don’t fear the show – Sherrilyn is already signed on as a producer!  As I was leaving the signing last night, I also found out something else – the Were-Hunters are also coming to television, but this time as an anime cartoon.

AFlinn-BewitchingIt looks like Ann Aguirre has gotten a complete overhaul done on her website.  The graphics aer great, but I’m wondering where all the extras disappeared to.  For instance, the March POV story she had for her Sirantha Jax world.

Jeaniene Frost has a title for her first Night Prince novel.  We’ll get to meet Vlad’s new lady, Leila, in Once Burned.  I’m wondering if the Prince series will have the same naming convention as the Huntress novels – ie every book will have grave in it.  If it will, does that mean the word will be “burn”?

NPR has posted their Top 100 SF/F Novels and check out who made the list: Neil Gaiman (3x), RA Salvatore, Jacqueline Carey, Gregory Maguire, Diana Gabaldon and Robin McKinley.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
