Ilona Andrews had two novels in this years Dabwaha Madness, and because of it us readers were more than rewarded. First, for defeating Jeaniene Frost in their shared round, we have a new Curran POV; then a new Twitter exchange between Curran and Kate to celebrate their next win; and finally the epic debate between Kate/Curran and Nevada/Connor as Magic Shifts and Burn for Me make it to the final bracket.
JC Daniels has posted an excerpt from her next novel, Final Protocol, which will release in July. There’s also a snippet from her upcoming Kit Colbana related short story, Misery’s Way, which is due out in June.
Meljean Brook has made her PNR story In Sheep’s Clothing available as a free download via her website.
Jeaniene Frost has made her only werewolf novella, Pack, available for free for a limited time.

For fans of Yasmine Galenorn, she has some good news/bad news. Her publisher has not contracted her for any more Otherworld novels. That’s the bad news. The good news is she intents to finish the current series arc by self-publishing the future novels. I’m not sure if Panther Prowling was the final traditionally published Otherworld novel, but everything I’m seeing is Berkeley will be publishing the 18th novel, Darkness Raging, in October.
Keri Arthur is starting a new series – how did I not hear about this?! City of Light will be the first Outcast novel and is slated as a January 2016 release.
Chloe Neill announced the title for the 12th Chicagoland Vampires novel. Midnight Marked will be released March 2016.
Nalini Singh is giving all of us Psy-Changeling fans some massive relief with her post on what will be happening after the Silence Arc is concluded with the 14th or 15th book. We’re given a snippet into her Night Shift story, Secrets at Midnight, and what we can look forward to starting in the 16th book (possible WindHaven?), as well as news of a second Psy-Changeling novella collection that is in the works. So lots of good things.
Jenna Black has announced that the fourth Nikki Glass novel, Divine Descendant, will be released in Spring of 2016. So it is coming. *grin*
Paradise, blooded daughter of the king’s First Advisor, is ready to break free from the restrictive life of an aristocratic female. Her strategy? Join the Black Dagger Brotherhood’s training center program and learn to fight for herself, think for herself… be herself. It’s a good plan, until everything goes wrong. The schooling is unfathomably difficult, the other recruits feel more like enemies than allies, and it’s very clear that the Brother in charge, Butch O’Neal, a.k.a. the Dhestroyer, is having serious problems in his own life.
And that’s before she falls in love with a fellow classmate. Craeg, a common civilian, is nothing her father would ever want for her, but everything she could ask for in a male. As an act of violence threatens to tear apart the entire program, and the erotic pull between them grows irresistible, Paradise is tested in ways she never anticipated- and left wondering whether she’s strong enough to claim her own power… on the field, and off.
Speaking of JR Ward, Blogging by Liza was recently at The Shadows signing in Cincinnati and has the full scoop on what’s coming next. If you don’t want to chance any spoilers, the biggest news to come out was the title (and focus) of the next BDB novel – The Beast.
HarperCollins may soon be withdrawing their books from Amazon.com when their contract expires. Whether they will support a third option of selling their books is unknown, but the likely scenario is HC will be using their own website, where they sell ebooks in multiple formats, including the .mobi. The one benefit to purchasing ebooks from HC is that their ebooks come DRM-free, however they do contain a digital watermark which helps track ownership. Regardless, this would mean Kindle readers would have to sideload HC ebooks to their Kindles, and with approximately 75% of the digital market, that’s quite a few readers who will have to overcome the inconvenience.I wonder how that will affect preorders. Will readers be willing to go to HC’s website to preorder or will they look at other 3rd party ebook retailers? (Sources: TechCrunch, GoodEReader.com, BusinessInsider.com)
