The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa

JKagawa-Iron KnightI have loved Ash since the very first time Meghan laid eyes on him. So it’s no surprise that I found his book, The Iron Knight, to be sheer perfection.

 My name—my True Name—is Ashallayn’darkmyr Tallyn.

I am the last remaining son of Mab, Queen of the Unseelie Court. And I am dead to her.

My fall began, as many stories do, with a girl…

If I hadn’t already loved Ash before reading The Iron Knight, then I would have fallen head over heels for him. He’s smart, strong, loyal and willing to do anything to be reunited with the love of his life – Meghan.

I don’t want to go into details about the plot (and ruin the surprises for all of you) but it was everything I wanted and more. Action, adventure, romance – all from Ash’s point of view! Of course, Puck, his former nemesis, was right there by his side the entire time, adding humor and helping Ash complete his quest.

For those of you new to the Iron Fey series, go start reading The Iron King. It’s Meghan’s story and almost as perfect as Ash’s story. (I love Ash too much to even think that Meghan’s story is better.) The Iron Knight gives away all the important details, literally within the first few pages, and trust me, you’ll love Ash all the more if you actually read everything that he and Meghan go through, instead of reading the brief summary.

There’s not much else that I can say. Team Ash fans will love it. Team Puck fans might be a little upset, but they should still love it too. Anyone who loves a tall, dark, brooding prince will love it. Like I said before, The Iron Knight, in my eyes, is sheer perfection, so why would anyone not love it?
