Rockwell, Massey & Mennen Contest Winners

Contest WinnersBefore I get to the winners of the contests that just ended, I wanted to remind everyone about the current contests going on:

  1. We’re giving away an an ecopy of Inara Scott’s Radiant Desire. Contest ends October 20th.
  2. We’re giving away two copies of Sara Humphrey’s Unleashed. Contest ends October 25th.

Now on to the winners….

Marsheila Rockwell

I had the fabulous Marsheila Rockwell on Literary Escapism discussing tie-in fiction and she brought along an excerpt from her novel, The Shard Axe. While she was here, we gave away a signed copy of The Shard Axe. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: What’s the best tie-in book you’ve ever read? And if you’ve never read one before, what was it that kept you from doing so? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

KAMERON F (from Pens and Swords) who said: Great article on tie-in fiction, Marcy. I’ve read a lot of tie-in fiction (as well as writing some). I really liked Timothy Zahn’s first Star Wars trilogy, Michael Stackpole’s X-Wing novels and I, Jedi. Some of my favorite D&D tie-ins include The Alabaster Staff by Edward Bolme and Salvatore’s Homeland.

Congratulations Kameron!

Heather Massey

I had the talented Heather Massey on Literary Escapism discussing the essential steampunk characters, gadgets, & accessories and she brought along an excerpt from her novel, Queenie’s Brigade. While she was here, we gave away an e-copy of Queenie’s Brigade. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: What’s your favorite steampunk character, gadget, or accessory? Or make one up! Now, without further ado, the winner is:

STELLA (from Ex Libris) who said: Hm… my favourite steampunk object/gadget would be a special pair of goggles which would enable night vision, fog vision, fire vision, water vision (=I’d be able to see all through these)

Congratulations Stella!

Rayka Mennen

I had the fantastic Rayka Mennen on Literary Escapism discussing writing the paranormal romance novel without vampires or werewolves. While she was here, we gave away an ecopy of Enchanted Destiny. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: Who’s your favorite paranormal character? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

JEN M who said: I’m with you. While I enjoy all of the paranormal creatures (especially shifters), I love books with otherwise ordinary people who just happen to be witches (like in Heather Webber’s Lucy Valentine series, or Tracy Madison’s Taste of Magic series).

This book sounds exactly like something I’d like. Best wishes with it. As for my favorite paranormal character, that would have to be a tossup between Kate Daniels and Mercy Thompson – stars of my two favorite series.

Congratulations Jen!

Winners!

You have until October 25th to send me an email at jackie AT literaryescapism DOT com, with the contest you won in the subject line, otherwise I’ll draw a new name when I post the current contest winners.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
