Check out the cover for Jordan Summer’s third Dead World novel – Crimson, which is due out November 1, 2009.
Jocelynn Drake has posted the first chapter of Dayhunter to her forum. I know I’m a little late with that news, but she has also now posted the excerpt up at her website.

If you’re a fan of Jacqueline Carey’s, then I would head over to Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist where he has an exclusive excerpt for her upcoming release, Santa Olivia.
I typed in “Something Wicked” in my address bar and what came up was so not what I was expecting. I thought I was going to find a contest for a copy of Blue Diablo by Ann Aguirre, but what I got instead was (no it wasn’t porn) a science fiction and horror magazine called Something Wicked that is based in South Africa. It’s a quarterly magazine with contributions for local and international writers and illustrators. How cool is that? I’m going to be poking around the site, so if I find anything more that’s good, I’ll let you know.
Wildwitch has gotten her hands on the release schedule for Jennifer Armintrout’s soon to be released Lightworld/Darkworld trilogy. Her information is from Harlequin themselves, so I think these should be pretty good: Queene of Light – October 2009, Child of Darkness – November 2009 and Veil of Shadows – December 2009.
io9 has an interesting article on their site today. What’s The Difference Between Story And Plot? is actually a really good question. I mean, can you have a story without a plot? Even in romance, just getting the two individuals together has some sort of plot to it, don’t you think?
Shayla Black has a couple of new covers for Seduce Me in Shadow and Possess Me at Midnight – books 2 and 3 of her Doomsday Brethren series. They’ll be released September 29, 2009 and October 27, 2009 respectively.
Do we know that the release date for Kate Daniels #4 will be March 2010? If not, Ilona Andrews announced that on her blog recently.
Rachel Vincent has posted a teaser video for the next Werecat novel, Prey.
If you can’t tell, I’ve been a little behind these last few days, so instead of reiterating what SciFiGuy does so well, I’m going to say head over to his shop. He has news about a new UF/PR series coming out by Georgia Evans (aka Rosemary Laurey) and the covers are pretty hot. They kind of remind me of the Southern Vampire Mystery novels by Charlaine Harris, but a little more foreboding.
Danette over at Danette’s Chatting Lounge needs our help. She’s doing a school paper on romance novels and she’s looking for some input. It’s a simple poll, so go over and show her some solidarity and take it for her. I insist. :P
Okay, that’s all for now.
Hey, thanks for including the interview I did with Chloe Neill. :)
Also, a correction to your first item: it’s Jordan Summers (not the other way around), and that cover is for Book 3. I think.
Cheers,
Karen
Hmm looking at the covers for the Shayla Black novels you posted along with the Jessa Slade I posted today and a few others I recall recently, it looks like guys are reclaiming some cover territory. As always thanks for the link/mention. I always enjoy your roundups.
Thank you for posting the interviews!
Hi!
I just wanted to pop in and say thanks for your continuing support! I wish I had the time to visit all the cool blogs but I never do find the time.
Keep up the great work!
