Queene Twilight

I’ve come across a summary for the first novel in Jennifer Armintrout’s new Lightworld/Darkworld series and it makes it sound kind of interesting.

The debut in Armintrout’s Lightworld/Darkworld series introduces us the Ayla, half faery, half human Assassin of the Lightworld’s Faery court. Her fate becomes intertwined with Death Angel Malachi, turned mortal after their first deadly encounter. As Ayla journeys to rediscover her identity and loyalties, a prophecy is revealed that could remake the Lightworld and Darkworld.

The series will be out pretty rapidly this fall, so we won’t have long to wait to get the whole story.  Here’s the release schedule: Queene of Light – October 2009, Child of Darkness – November 2009 and Veil of Shadows – December 2009.

CONTEST ALERT – SciFiGuy is giving away a copy of Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill.

For any and all Twilight fans out there, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, TwilightFanTrips and TwilightLive Podcast are getting together and throwing a Vampire Home Run event with proceeds to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oregon. The event is scheduled for July 4, 2009, in Portland Oregon and will include:

  • Private baseball game at PGE Park with cast from Twilight*
  • TwilightLive podcast
  • Opportunity to take unlimited photos of cast
  • VIP seating at Portland Beavers game
  • Private dinner at PGE Park
  • July 4th Fireworks
  • Optional Lana Veenker Casting Workshops
  • Benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oregon

The cost is a little steep at $89, but considering what you’re getting to do, it could be considered a good deal.  Especially if you think of it as a charitable donation and use it as a tax write-off.  You do have to register for the event, so if you’re going to be in the Portland area for the fourth of July, you might want to check it out.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
