I Think I’ve Found Heaven

Has anyone heard of Paperspine? It’s just like netflix yet it’s for books.

Paperspine is a subscription-based book rental service. You pick the books you want to read and we mail them right to your home.

Check our selection of thousands of books by clicking the Browse tab above. If we don’t have the book you’re looking for, let us know by e-mailing us at feedback AT paperspine DOT com.

It’s not free, but it’s not unreasonable either. They have four different plans, but it’s definitely cheaper than Netflix and by the time you take gas into consideration when you go to the library or bookstore, it probably equals out.

  1. Light – 2 books at a time for $9.95 per month plus $1.49 shipping per book
  2. Frequent – 2 books at a time for $14.95 per month with free shipping
  3. Avid – 3 books at a time for $19.95 per month with free shipping
  4. Family – 5 books at a time for $24.95 per month with free shipping

Well, it’s probably more cost efficient with the Frequent plan, but this is still awesome. Plus if you want to try and author and you can’t find the book anywhere, all you have to do is email them and they’ll get it.

I can’t take credit for finding this though. I have to thank Dewey over at The Hidden Side of a Leaf for finding this. I would love to join this service, but between buying the new house and the huge stack of books I need to read, it wouldn’t be practical for me. However, once that stack goes down, I will be there. In the mean time, if you do join up, do me a favor and give Dewey the credit (code: JH3263) and use her referral code. For ever referral, she gets a month free and since I can’t take advantage of that great promotion, someone should.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. Aw, thanks so much for passing on my referral code!

I got a welcome letter from them today, with several postage-paid return envelopes, although usually one will come with the book, and some bookmarks. I thought that was really nice, and I can’t wait until my first books arrive!
