Destined for Contests

REMINDER: the contest for a copy of Wild Highland Magic ends tonight at midnight. If you haven’t checked out Kendra Leigh Castle’s post and entered the contest, get over there now.

There’s a blurb for Destined for an Early Grave, which comes out July 28th.  You know I’ll be at Barnes & Noble that day, I so can’t wait for the fourth Night Huntress novel.  Check this out…

Since half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her undead lover Bones met six years ago, they’ve fought against the rogue undead, battled a vengeful Master vampire, and pledged their devotion with a blood bond. Now it’s time for a vacation. But their hopes for a perfect Paris holiday are dashed when Cat awakes one night in terror. She’s having visions of a vampire named Gregor who’s more powerful than Bones and has ties to her past that even Cat herself didn’t know about.

Gregor believes Cat is his and he won’t stop until he has her. As the battle begins between the vamp who haunts her nightmares and the one who holds her heart, only Cat can break Gregor’s hold over her. She’ll need all the power she can summon in order to bring down the baddest bloodsucker she’s ever faced . . . even if getting that power will result in an early grave.

Destined for an Early Grave comes out July 28th and you know I’ll be at Barnes & Noble that day.

Interviews:

Kim Harrison has posted an excerpt for Once Dead, Twice Shy, which will be released on May 28th.

If you’re trying to find the The Dark-Hunters, Vol. 1 manga that was suppose to be released today, you can stop.  Sherrilyn Kenyon announced that the release has been pushed back and she just found out today.  The new release date is June 4, 2009.

Diana Pharaoh Francis is sharing the first two chapters of her upcoming release, The Turning Tide.  The third novel in her Crosspointe series, it will be available May 5, 2009.

Devon Monk has added an exclusive excerpt for Magic in the Blood over at the Deadline Dames.

If you’re a fan of Angie Fox’s Accidental Demon Slayer series, you’ll be happy to hear that the third novel is tentatively titled A Tale of Two Demon Slayers.  Angie is talking about it during her Q&A over at Novel Reads and she gives us this teaser about the third novel:

Lizzie and the gang travel to Greece where they learn more about Dimitri’s past and a threat that could destroy them all. I’m having a ball with it because it’s so much fun to explore Dimitri’s home, his family and his juicy past.

CONTEST ALERTS:
Jeri Smith-Ready is giving away the last ARC for Bad to the Bone over at Paranormality.  She has a guest blog up about world building, so definitely worth checking out just for that.  The contest ends April 29th at midnight.

Dayhunter contests! Both Jocelynn Drake and Rachel Vincent have contests going for a copy of Drake’s new novel, Dayhunter.  The book is fabulous (just check out my review), so if you want a chance to win it, head over to either Jocelynn’s site (ends at midnight on May 2nd) or Rachel’s site (ends at midnight on May 1st).

Beth Kery is giving away a copy of Lauren Dane’s new release – Relentless.  Another exceptional novel (here’s my review) that you could have a chance of winning.  There doesn’t seem to be an end date stated, so if you want in, get there now.

I can’t remember if I said anything about this one or not, but Bitten by Books is giving away a copy of Storm Glass, the first novel in Maria Snyder’s new Glass series.  I love her Study series, so I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of this one.  The contest ends at 11:59 pm PDT on May 1st.

Take this with a grain of salt, but there may be a contest going on over at Novel Reads for a copy of Angie Fox’s newest release – the Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers.  I’m not sure if it’s still going on since it was posted on April 23rd and I don’t see an end date.  You may have time to get your name in, so I would try.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
