Kenyon, St Crow & More

Caitlin Kittredge has changed the title to her fifth Nocturne City book.  Originally called Spell Bound, it’s now going to be Daemon’s Mark and will be out March 2010.

I didn’t know this, but it seems that the third Darkest Powers book by Kelley Armstrong (her YA series) is called The Reckoning.  I haven’t seen when it’ll be released, but with Frostbitten coming out in September 29th, I’m guessing it’ll be sometime early next year.

MEGA CONTESTS ALERT – Go check out SciFiGuys post from yesterday.  He has a bunch of contests listed and I’m not even going to try and cover them all.  He has contests for at least 8 different books being given away.  Go over NOW!

Fantasy & Sci-Fi Lovin’ Reviews is giving away a copy of LKH’s upcoming novel, Skin Trade.  The contest ends June 5th and it’s super easy to get your name in.

Sad news for Sherrilyn Kenyon fans. The The Dark-Hunters, Vol. 1 has been pushed back until the end of June due to more art complications.  This also means the second issue, which was going to be published in September, will also be pushed back.  There isn’t a new date for that one however.

And where have I been that I didn’t realize that Nick Gautier was getting his own series and not from where we left off in Acheron.  This is what Sherrilyn recently said in her newsletter:

Chronicles of Nick is still set for it’s Feb 2010 release. For those who haven’t heard, Nick Gautier is getting his own series. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and is in response to the heavy demand from readers that we write Dark-Hunter books that the entire family can enjoy. Book 1: Infinity will start when Nick (at age 14) meets Kyrian and gets sucked into the Dark-Hunter world. You’ll get to see a lot of your fave Dark-Hunter characters such as Tabitha, Otto and Amanda as teenagers and there will be lots of Simi to go around. Not to mention the intro of some great characters such as Bubba, Casey, Cabal and Kyl as you’ve never seen him or the Peltier bears before.

Seriously, why am I just hearing about this now?!  Plus Sherrilyn has confirmed her Bad Moon Rising tour schedule.  She’ll be back in Ann Arbor, but I haven’t decided if I’m going again or not.  Here is what her schedule looks like:

  • Tuesday, August 4th – Ann Arbor, MI (although this is the launch event, so mmm)
  • Wednesday, August 5th – Dallas, TX
  • Thursday, August 6th – Burbank, CA
  • Friday, August 7th – Beaverton, OR
  • Sunday Aug. 9th – Foxwoods, CT

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
